My Hero Academia’s new movie confirms UK release date in new trailer

As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that the expanded trailer for “My Hero Academia” has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into the release date for this highly anticipated movie in the United Kingdom cinemas.

Titled “My Hero Academia: It’s Your Turn Now”, this upcoming movie takes place just prior to the clash between heroes and villains and will hit theaters starting from October 18. Directed by Tensai Okamura, it first screened in Japan on August 2.

As a gamer, I’m braced for the upcoming flick that delves into the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, where my squad, Class 1-A, and I face the grim repercussions. Post the battle, an enigmatic figure emerges, vowing to take over All Might’s role as a symbol, becoming the new one.

Although he looks like All Might, this individual turns out to be a malevolent counterpart, dubbed Dark Might, who exploits his powers for personal gain and manipulates others to achieve his objectives, using them selfishly.

In addition to introducing Anna Scervino, a young lady whose unique trait is yet undisclosed, who belongs to Dark Might’s circle, she catches the attention of a butler-dressed character named Giulio. It appears that Anna harbors a secret link with this super villain.

Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, along with the rest of U.A.’s Class 1-A, are in for a busy time as they pledge to safeguard the world and bring an end to Dark Might’s tyranny. They will also encounter a mysterious crime syndicate, the Gollini Family, which seems to be under the control of the villain.

The movie based on “My Hero Academia” was initially revealed in 2023, as its creator, Kohei Horikoshi, disclosed that it was under development, following the storyline beyond season 6 of the animated series.

He hinted that the next event will occur post-War, starting from season 6, implying a fallen society as the backdrop. This raises questions: Who will Deku and his companions confront this time? What will they defend? Keep an eye out for the answers!

The movie titled “You’re Next” is the fourth installment of a series that was followed by “Two Heroes”, “Heroes Rising”, and “World Heroes’ Mission”, which were released in 2018, 2019, and 2021 respectively. Additionally, a live-action adaptation for Netflix is currently underway.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next will be released in UK cinemas on October 18.
