My Hero Academia season 7 adds Attack on Titan star to cast

As a long-time anime enthusiast with over two decades of fandom under my belt, I must say that the latest addition to the My Hero Academia cast has sent waves of excitement through the community! Hiroshi Kamiya, best known for his iconic roles in Attack on Titan and One Piece, will now voice the younger version of All For One.

My Hero Academia season seven has added Attack on Titan star Hiroshi Kamiya to its cast.

The actor will replace Akio Otsuka as the voice of the young version of villain All For One. Previously, Otsuka had voiced the antagonist since the show’s debut; however, producers have chosen to portray the character in his youthful form (as reported by Comic Book)).

In the ongoing season seven, now streaming on Crunchyroll, All For One makes a final effort to seize One For All – a unique power that can be passed from one holder to another through time.

As the story progresses, different actors will portray the character at various stages of his life. He starts off as a teenager, then grows into a child, and finally a toddler. Eventually, the character is no longer part of the narrative.

Apart from playing Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan, Kamiya is also recognized for providing the voices for Ranpo Edogawa in Bungo Stray Dogs, Trafalgar Law in One Piece, Yato in Noragami, and Shinji Matō in Fate.

In a world similar to ours, as depicted by Kōhei Horikoshi in his work “My Hero Academia“, the majority of people possess a unique ability or power – often referred to as a ‘Quirk’.

This narrative focuses on Izuku Midoriya, portrayed by Daiki Yamashita, who lacks a superpower from birth, and his peers at UA High School as they strive to become heroes.

After the popularity of the animated show, “My Hero Academia,” a live-action film version is being developed for streaming on Netflix.

In the upcoming project titled “Alice in Borderland,” Shinsuke Sato will take on the roles of director and executive producer. The script for this production is being written by Joby Harold, who has previously worked on projects like “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “Army of the Dead.

In a conversation with Collider in December 2023, Harold disclosed an exhilarating development regarding the movie, stating that he was actively engaged in drafting the screenplay, a project he’s keeping confidential at present.

As a gamer, I’m deeply engrossed in a project that I genuinely enjoy developing. I can hardly contain my excitement about bringing it to life and sharing it with others. This one’s a doozy!

1) “I can certainly attest to the fact that it is live-action, and while that might be the extent of what I have to say, it holds significant importance in my life. To put it simply, I am thoroughly enjoying it and consider myself quite fortunate for this opportunity. Needless to say, I’m incredibly excited about it.

My Hero Academia is available to watch on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
