Dermot Mulroney and his wife, Prima Apollinaare, have finalized their divorce, officially ending their marriage of almost 15 years.
According to court filings obtained by the Daily Mail, the 62-year-old actor and his wife, Apollinaare, 52, have reached an agreement on all aspects of their divorce. This includes how they will divide their property, arrangements for their two daughters’ custody and support, and visitation schedules.
The former couple has agreed on alimony, child custody, and who will pay legal fees. They’re now waiting for a judge to approve the agreement.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Mulroney’s representative but has not yet received a response.
The actor, known for roles in films like My Best Friend’s Wedding with Julia Roberts and Anyone But You alongside Sydney Sweeney, filed for divorce on June 21, 2025, stating that he and his spouse had differences that couldn’t be resolved.
The actor is asking for shared legal custody of his two daughters: 17-year-old Mabel Ray and 15-year-old Sally June. He and Apollinaare had Mabel Ray two years before they got married.
Brian Mulroney also has a son named Clyde, age 26, from his marriage to actress Catherine Keener, who is 66.
According to TMZ, Mulroney asked the court to end his payments to Apollina, but requested that she continue paying him support.
However, an insider spoke to People to set the record straight on that account.
According to a source, the separation isn’t contentious. There’s no disagreement about the children or finances. They’re handling things privately with mediators, not through lawyers, because they remain friends and want to keep the split friendly.
The Chicago Fire player is estimated to have a net worth of $2 million. Apollinaare’s financial status is currently unknown.
In his divorce papers filed in June, Mulroney stated that all income and assets earned or built up during the marriage, up to the date they separated, would be considered jointly owned property.
In a 2012 appearance on The Rosie Show, the actor, once a popular leading man, discussed his choice to get remarried following his 2007 divorce.
‘A lot of it doesn’t make sense, but you can’t deny your heart,’ he said.
Ben Mulroney isn’t just an actor—he’s also a skilled cellist with formal training. He started playing the cello at age seven in Alexandra, Virginia, and continued to play throughout his education, including at Northwestern University.
He’s worked on the music for many hugely successful films, including Rogue One, Star Trek, Incredibles 2, Coco, and the Mission: Impossible series.
Apollinaare, also known as Tharita Cutulle, is an Italian singer and songwriter who comes from a musical family. She began her career in 2017 with the release of her first single, “Stand Up To Love,” and has since put out two EPs and a full album.
The pair’s shared love of music was the bonding point when they started dating in 2008.
Back in February 2024, Mulroney and his wife at the time appeared happy together, even performing a duet of “Islands in the Stream” on the Fox show We Are Family.
Mulroney described the call offering him the show as ‘amazing.’ He explained that the producers were familiar with his wife, Prima’s, music and realized they’d been a couple for twenty years, seeing them as a hidden gem of a duo.
He explained that they’re a very private couple in Hollywood and were thrilled to be on a game show that focuses on helping others, not just entertainment.
Prima added: ‘We both like to do karaoke together and we both like music so much.’
Being on television and performing was incredible! My husband and I are always making music together at home. We’re a musical family – we play all sorts of instruments, from harps and guitars to ukuleles and pianos.
She shared that she enjoyed singing with her husband and found the whole experience very easy and relaxed.
At the time of the divorce filing, the former couple listed the same home address in Los Angeles.
This suggested they were either still living together after separating, or simply using the same address for mail.
