Must watch: Netflix releases Owen Cooper’s Adolescence audition tape and fans demand to see more

Teenage fans captivated by Owen Cooper’s acting prowess in the popular Netflix show can anticipate being equally amazed by his audition video, now made available by the streaming service.

As a devoted admirer, I was thrilled to have my career-defining moment when I landed the role of Jamie Miller in Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne’s heart-wrenching drama series, which sheds light on the devastating issue of gender-based violence.

The series, consisting of four uninterrupted episodes directed by Philip Barantini from “Boiling Point”, narrates the story of 13-year-old Jamie who stands accused of killing a schoolmate.

In the video released by Netflix, Cooper and his fellow actor Erin Doherty reminisced about the audition which ultimately landed him the part.

In episode three, Doherty – portraying psychologist Briony Ariston – commended Cooper’s tape performance as he modestly declined. The clip mainly features a snippet from his audition, focusing on the scene where Jamie is questioned about his comprehension of why he had been detained.
