The show is set in the late 1930s, just before World War II, and centers on two sisters who make very different choices, some of which have tragic results.
This gripping story follows the six Mitford sisters as they navigate love, scandal, and political extremism while growing up in the tumultuous 1930s. It’s a remarkable true account of an aristocratic family and the challenges they faced.

I was really hyped about this series, and it totally lived up to the buzz! Digital Spy gave it a full five-star review, and we all agreed it was “well paced,” which basically means the story flowed perfectly and kept me hooked the whole time.
The show currently has a 7.4/10 rating on IMDb. One viewer called it “outrageously good” and said it was so addictive they wished there was another season, as they watched the whole thing in one sitting.
I think people sometimes write off the Mitfords as just wealthy and out of touch, but honestly, that’s a real oversight. I was reading an interesting take on the first season of the show – it only covers things up to 1937 – and it really highlighted how easily people can get caught up in extreme ideologies. It struck me how relevant that is now, just as much as it was back in the 1930s.

One viewer shared their enthusiasm for the show, writing, “We really need another season of Outrageous! The first season was fantastic – the story was captivating, especially knowing it was based on a wild, real-life event.”
The show received some negative reviews, with one viewer describing it as “terrible.” They pointed out the 300-word review requirement was frustrating because the acting, costumes, and script were all poor, leaving little positive to say.
Outrageous is now streaming on Channel 4.
Okay, gamers, listen up! The latest issue of Living Legends just dropped, and it’s all about Dolly Parton! I just grabbed my copy – you can find ‘Dolly at 80’ in shops or online for only £8.99. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan!
