Rocketman, the Elton John biopic led by Taron Egerton, is now streaming for free in the UK.
Following its rebroadcast on Film4 yesterday, the movie can now be streamed for free on Channel 4’s online platform (no TV license is necessary, but there will be advertisements unless you subscribe to Channel 4+ for £3.99 per month or £39.99 annually, which removes ads).
You have just 29 days left to watch this content before it gets removed from the platform. At present, you won’t find it bundled with any other subscriptions, but since it has been broadcasted several times on four different networks over the last few years, there’s a possibility that it might return at some point in the future.
What to Read Next
Title “Rocketman” narrates the life story of Sir Elton John, chronicling his meteoric rise to global fame, intertwined with his personal struggles involving substance abuse and explorations of his sexual identity.

In this film, alongside the artist who made the famous hit “Your Song,” we find Kit Connor portraying his teenage self, Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin, Stephen Graham as record executive Dick James, Richard Madden as manager John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard and Gemma Jones playing members of John’s family.
This movie features the ‘Your Song’ singer alongside a talented cast. Kit Connor takes on the role of the singer’s teenage self, while Jamie Bell portrays Bernie Taupin, Stephen Graham plays record executive Dick James, Richard Madden is the manager John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard and Gemma Jones depict members of John’s family.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a very impressive score of 89% positive from 400 reviews.

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “I’ve stumbled upon a film that’s nothing short of an explosion of pure joy, according to Sight & Sound. MovieFreak.com found it fantastically entertaining, and Refinery29 described it as a sparkling, emotional gem in the rough – proving that a musical biopic can pack a powerful punch!
As a devoted admirer, I’d say that “Rocketman” is nothing short of splendid yet outlandish, a vibrant blend of worn-out tropes and fresh inventiveness, of reverent tribute and unapologetic nostalgia – as described by TIME magazine.
Rocketman is available to watch via the Channel 4 streaming service.
