Must-see Latino acts at Coachella 2025: Junior H, The Marías and more
This year, like previous ones, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is set to showcase some of the most promising rising Latin artists in the music scene, just as it has done in the past.
Although there were fewer Latino artists this year compared to last year’s record-breaking 21, the upcoming lineup at the Empire Polo Club in Indio promises a vibrant mix, featuring Mexican music legends and innovative pop singers. Over the next two weekends, these acts are expected to deliver an impactful performance as many of them will be performing at Coachella for the first time.
Here are some Latin artists we’re most excited to see at this year’s Coachella.
Rawayana
Enhance the sound of Coachella’s horn sections to accommodate Venezuela’s Rawayana. The Grammy-winning tropical pop group rose to international fame after launching their 2023 studio album, “¿Quién Trae las Cornetas?” – which translates to “Who Brought the Speakers?” – as well as a captivating “Tiny Desk” performance that has amassed over 8 million views. Vocalist Alberto Montenegro remarked earlier this year, just prior to their Grammy win for Latin rock or alternative album, “We had to flee our country and start from scratch, and it’s incredible that now we are recognized by the Recording Academy.
Rawayana will perform on Saturday, April 12 and April 19, at 11 p.m. on the Gobi stage.
The Marías
In a return to the desert stage for the third time since their debut performances in 2018 and 2022, the Los Angeles-based indie-pop band fronted by Puerto Rican vocalist María Zardoya is set to perform this year. This tour coincides with the release of their second album, “Submarine,” a poignant tribute to the split between Zardoya and drummer-producer Josh Conway that has been dubbed as “crying in the club” songs, as described by Zardoya in an interview with The Times in 2024.
Despite heartache potentially derailing any band’s trajectory, the emotional aftermath has instead catapulted The Marías – comprising guitarist Jesse Perlman and keyboardist Edward James – to new heights of achievement. Their latest album reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200, a significant milestone for the group since its inception in 2016. As frontwoman Zardoya put it, “It was an incredibly moving experience because we overcame so much as a team and it feels like a family now. We’re stronger than ever.
The Marías will perform on Friday, April 11 and April 18, at 8:20 p.m. at the Outdoor theater.
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso
Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso will undoubtedly energize the Coachella audience with their enchanting quirky vibes, as well as their muscular physiques.
After achieving viral fame from their “Tiny Desk” performance, Catriel “Ca7riel” Guerreiro and Ulises “Paco Amoroso” Guerriero unveiled a nine-track EP named “Papota,” which is an Argentine slang for anabolic steroids. The duo’s upcoming Coachella debut arrives at an exhilarating moment in their friendship, as they recently delivered an electrifying set on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Ca7riel told De Los that their Coachella performance would be packed with all the firepower and magic tricks they have up their sleeves. In other words, it’s a show not to be missed!
Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso are set to take the stage on both Friday, April 11th and Friday, April 18th, with performances kicking off each evening at 9:30 PM on the Gobi stage.

Judeline
In the near future, prepare to be captivated by Judeline, the Spanish Venezuelan singer recognized for her angelic electronic pop lullabies. She’s garnered acclaim from fellow Spanish sensation Rosalia, who promoted her 2024 debut album, “Bodhiria,” on her social media platforms, as well as J Balvin, who asked her to open his Que Bueno Volver a Verte tour in Europe. In an interview with Teen Vogue, she mentioned, “If you’re seeking a taste of Andalusia at Coachella, drop by my set and relax for a while. It promises to be enjoyable.
On both Saturdays, the 12th and the 19th of April, Judeline will take her first step onto the American stage at Coachella, performing at the Sonora stage at 3:50 in the afternoon.

El Malilla
As Reggaeton Mexa continues to gain popularity, it’s only fitting that its foremost artist, El Malilla, presents this movement on the international stage at Coachella. Drawing inspiration from Puerto Rican singers like Arcangel and future collaborators Jowell & Randy, the Mexico City rebel infuses his own experiences of upbringing into the music, he shared with Rolling Stone.
El Malilla stated that our unique style differs from that of Puerto Rico and Colombia as we employ our very own street language, or slang, and rhythm, often referred to as ñerismo. This is a reflection of the distinctive dialect and culture specific to our neighborhoods.
El Malilla will perform on Saturday, April 12 and April 19, at 9:50 p.m. at the Sonora stage.

Arca
Previously known for creating experimental Venezuelan music, Arca has collaborated with notable artists like Kanye West, Björk, FKA twigs, Rosalia, and Frank Ocean in a producing role. This year, she is set to make her debut at Coachella, which marks her first time performing there, approximately four years after the release of her last album “Kick IIIII”. However, Arca has recently been busy working on remixes for Addison Rae and renowned Japanese artist Hikaru Utada.
2015’s concert review by The Times’ August Brown highlighted Arca’s captivating stage persona and vitality. He commented that Arca aimed to challenge the boundaries of what art and life can evoke. Moreover, when she stepped down from the stage, rapping and shouting over a powerful kick drum beat, the audience embraced her as their own.
Arca will perform on Sunday, April 13 and April 20, at 8:35 p.m. on the Gobi stage.

Junior H
This year at Coachella, Junior H – a rising talent from the corridos tumbados genre – will be the main act. It’s been just a year since he made a special appearance during Peso Pluma’s 2024 set. The Mexican singer has worked with numerous prominent figures in the corridos tumbados, Latin trap, and reggaeton scene, including Rauw Alejandro, Natanael Cano, El Alfa, Grupo Frontera, and Peso Pluma themselves.
2024’s streaming data clearly showed Junior H’s extraordinary upward trajectory. By the end of that year, he had climbed to No. 5 on Spotify’s Top 10 Global Latin Artists list, with Peso Pluma holding the top spot as the most-streamed Mexican music artist.
Junior H will perform on Sunday, April 13 and April 20, at 7 p.m. on the Coachella main stage.

Alok
Since 2020, DJ Mag has consistently ranked the Brazilian bass artist among the Top 5 DJs globally. Highly respected in his native country, Alok achieved a significant milestone in the U.S. with his 2016 track “Hear Me Now,” which peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. His collaborations span various music genres, working with artists such as Steve Aoki, Tove Lo, Seu Jorge, Kylie Minogue, and Luis Fonsi.
Alok will perform on Saturday, April 12 and April 19, at 4:10 p.m. on the Sahara stage.
Ivan Cornejo
Born in Riverside, Ivan Cornejo garnered his initial popularity when his song “Esta Dañada” became widely popular on TikTok in 2021. Unlike other Mexican music artists who have amassed large fan bases by singing about their violent experiences, Cornejo has distinguished himself by focusing on love-themed songs.
In 2024, Cornejo shared with The Times his belief that “Mexicans have a long history of being deeply romantic,” and he added that he believes the most romantic songs are sung in Spanish.
Cornejo will perform on Saturday, April 12 and April 19, at 7:15 p.m. on the Mojave stage.
