MultiVersus Sets Beetlejuice Loose For Season 2 Next Week
As a seasoned gamer who’s been around the block more times than I care to count, let me tell you that my heart skipped a beat when I heard about Beetlejuice joining MultiVersus! Growing up with the original movie, I can still quote lines from it word for word. To see this iconic character leap into the realm of multiplayer battles is nothing short of a dream come true.
In a recent announcement, WB Games and developer Player First have revealed that Betelgeuse/Beetlejuice will be unleashed within MultiVersus starting next week. This introduction is part of Season 2: Back in Time, which introduced Samurai Jack just last month.
A fighter belonging to the assassin class, Beetlejuice leaps into the world of the living from the Afterlife, boasting a variety of transformative ‘Bio Exorcist’ abilities. These include summoning beetles and colossal sandworms, expelling sharp spikes from his form, and building up force for devastating hammer strikes that come crashing down on foes from above.
Check out ‘The Ghost with the Most’ in action below in the latest trailer! It also previews the Beetlejuice Matador variant as well as his other Afterlife variants. The mischievous Beetlejuice will make his appearance in MultiVersus starting from 20th August on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. This is prior to the theatrical release of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ in cinemas on 6th September.
