MultiVersus Season 5 Coming Next Week Will Be the Game’s Last, Set to Be Delisted in May
It has been announced by WB Games and Player First Games that MultiVersus Season 5 will mark the final season for the platform fighter. Support for the game is scheduled to cease, and it will be removed from digital storefronts towards the end of May.
According to a recent announcement, the upcoming Season for the game is its last. Starting on February 4, 2025, this season, known as MultiVersus Season 5, will run until May 30, 2025. During this time, two new characters will be introduced: Aquaman from DC and Lola Bunny from Looney Tunes, joining the roster of playable characters.
Starting from February 4th at 9am Pacific Time (or 12pm Eastern Time), you can earn Aquaman and Lola Bunny, along with all other Season 5 content, through gameplay in our platform. Aquaman will be your first reward by purchasing the Battle Pass, while Lola will be given as a daily login bonus.
MultiVersus will stay active online until it gets removed on May 30th, but you can continue playing it offline using local multiplayer (either against AI opponents or with up to three friends). To keep enjoying it after that, make sure to download and install the most recent version of the game and log in during Season 5. This will ensure uninterrupted access post delisting date.
By logging in now, you can establish a local save file for your profile that will enable you to play MultiVersus offline beyond May 30th. Starting today, you won’t be able to acquire Gleamium currency, but any remaining balance can still be used to purchase in-game items up until the end of May.
Back in November, Warner Bros. shared some not-so-great news about MultiVersus – it wasn’t performing as well as expected. Looking at things now, it feels like the signs were there that this free-to-play fighter might have a tough road ahead.
What a fantastic journey it’s been, everyone! I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering support throughout this ride. If you’d like to learn more about our experiences and answers to common questions, feel free to check out our blog post and frequently asked questions section.
