MultiVersus Season 2: Back in Time Launches Tomorrow With Addition of Samurai Jack
As a longtime fan of Samurai Jack and animated series in general, I couldn’t be more excited about the announcement that this iconic character is joining MultiVersus! The trailer showcases Jack’s incredible katana skills and agility, which will undoubtedly make him a formidable fighter in the platform fighter.
WB Games has revealed that Samurai Jack is set to make his entrance into MultiVersus during Season 2: Back in Time, which begins tomorrow. Additionally, the playful specter Betelgeuse from Tim Burton’s film “Beetlejuice” (1988) will be added to the roster at a later point in the season, aligning with the September release of the movie’s sequel, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”
Samurai Jack’s journey will carry on in MultiVersus as he gets transported to the future by the wicked demon Aku. He brings along his exceptional swordsmanship and nimbleness, making him a Bruiser class character in this platform fighter game. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of the Righteous Warrior Jack variant, which will be up for sale starting tomorrow.
In the second season of MultiVersus, Samurai Jack joins the fray and brings Ranked mode with him. This means you can now engage in 1vs1 and 2vs2 battles while striving for a spot on the leaderboard. The points earned from these matches can be used to acquire special rank-specific rewards. Additionally, a new map, the Water Tower, makes its debut in the game. It is situated atop the famous Warner Bros. Water Tower.
Beginning on July 23rd, MultiVersus Season 2: Time Traveler’s Revenge commences with new additions including Samurai Jack, a Ranked mode, and the Water Tower map for gaming experiences on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
