Developer Hammer95 has just released Mullet MadJack, an action-packed boomer shooter set in the 80s/90s anime style that incorporates some roguelike elements. You can download it through Xbox Game Pass.

Experience the chaos of hyperviolence and vibrant hues as you dash through passageways, unleashing gunfire on robotic tycoons, on a quest to save a captive ‘princess’ from a skyscraper’s peak. Each level delivers rapid-fire first-person shooter (FPS) excitement, interrupted by options to acquire new weapons, skills, and bonuses.
The unique aspect is, your life ticks down in 10-second intervals, but you can extend it by performing kills, melee finishes, or consuming soda. If this setup seems overwhelming, there’s also a ‘No Timer’ mode available, replacing the timer with a conventional health bar. Furthermore, an ‘Endless Mode’ and a ‘Boss Rush Mode’ are included, along with varying levels of difficulty to conquer.
