On Saturday evening, Liam received a special acknowledgement, as the inductees for this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were announced in Cleveland, Ohio.
While an investigation into the events leading up to huis death is ongoing, the British singer was included among the annual event’s memorials at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
A picture showing Payne from his time with One Direction in the past was displayed on the screen, causing a storm of enthusiasm among the audience members.
Police found drugs in his room including ‘cristal’, a potent hallucinogenic that causes blackouts and psychotic episodes.

- Liam had been ‘re-working’ his favorite One Direction track ‘Fireproof’ on his computer just hours before his death.
- He was in Argentina to renew his US visa and had passed medical and psychological tests days before which proved he was ‘totally clean.’
- He was in ‘good spirits’ and had been planning to fly back home to girlfriend Kate Cassidy in Miami on Friday.
- His final meal was his favourite, chocolate-chip cookies.
According to various police reports, it is believed that an individual within the hotel provided him with illicit substances.
It’s been rumored, but not yet confirmed, that a hotel may have carried out an investigation internally and dismissed one or more staff members.
Payne arrived in Argentina on September 30 with his girlfriend Kate and close friend Roger Nores.
According to the source, Liam found himself needing to depart from America because his U.S. visa was about to expire. To kill two birds with one stone, he opted to travel to Buenos Aires to watch Niall Horan’s performance and secure a fresh visa.
However, upon his visit to the U.S. embassy in Buenos Aires the previous week, Payne learned that the officials had previously searched for him online and uncovered his past stays at various rehabilitation centers due to substance abuse issues with drugs and alcohol.
‘Initially, they instructed him to undergo various medical examinations, including doctor visits, bloodwork, x-rays, and consultations with a psychiatrist. All these appointments were scheduled and completed during the first week. Liam had anticipated a brief stay but due to the extensive tests, he found himself unexpectedly stuck there for an extended period.’
Following the weekend spent at a polo farm near Buenos Aires, Kate Cassidy returned to Miami on Monday to look after the couple’s pet, while Liam stayed at the CasaSur hotel.
‘He had no money and his credit cards weren’t working, so he was spending all his time in the room.
