As a lifestyle expert and someone who values authenticity and transparency, I find Macy Gray’s recent statements about her wellness routine on Surreal Life to be both shocking and intriguing. It’s important to note that everyone has unique ways of coping with stress and dealing with their personal struggles, and it’s not for me or anyone else to judge Macy’s choices without understanding the full context of her life experience.

Macy Gray shocked Surreal Life audiences when she openly admitted that she uses cocaine and a few drinks to improve her health.

During the first episode of the MTV reality show’s latest season on Wednesday, the 56-year-old celebrity unexpectedly shared a shocking revelation. This came as a surprise after they discovered that their group would be attending a breathwork session in the Colombian mountains.

Displeased with the planned group outing, including deep breathing exercises, Macy voiced her dislike for such “counterculture practices” and preferred relaxing through the use of drugs instead.

Speaking in her confessional, she said: ‘Oh God! I just don’t do the hippy sh**.

‘I live in LA, that’s hippy kingdom, but for healing that’s not how I do it.’

Butting in, a producer probed: ‘How would you do it?’

Not holding back, Macy, real name Natalie McIntyre, replied: ‘Like cocaine and a couple of shots.

I’ve had long days where all I crave is some comfort food to fill me up and restore my energy. After a grueling work week or a particularly challenging day, the thought of a piping hot pizza, greasy and delicious, can be incredibly enticing. I don’t need any frills or fancy dishes; just give me that familiar taste and texture, and I’ll be good to go.

Social media swiftly responded to Macy’s unconventional comments, leaving fans astonished by her boldness to share such revelations on live TV.

One expressed their feelings about X by saying, “Her charm leaves me weak. I’m deeply drawn to every aspect of her character. Her authenticity is truly captivating.”

Another posted: ‘Macy Gray on Surreal Life is top tier entertainment.’

A third person commented: “Macy Gray on Surreal Life is bringing me joy. Her unintentional humor has me laughing uncontrollably and I find myself smitten with her.”

‘I can’t believe Macy Gray said this on national television,’ a fourth penned.

A fifth observed: ‘Macy Gray is a wild girl but I totally get her.’

Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets airs Tuesday nights on MTV at 9 p.m. ET.

The new season follows eight celebrities living together in a large villa in Columbia.

While they’re here, the TV personalities experience challenges that take them beyond their familiar routines. In these activities, hidden facts about every competitor will come to light.

In addition to Macy, the ensemble includes Chet Hanks, Ally Brooke, O.T. Genasis, Kim Zolciak, Josie Canseco, Johnny Weir, and Tyler Posey.

This isn’t the first time Macy has shocked audiences on national television.

About two weeks ago, Macy surprised everyone on The Project, an Australian news talk show, with unexpected profanity during an unplanned presentation.

In an interview held backstage before her initial performance on her ongoing Australian tour in Hobart, the successful music artist casually used the offensive term “F-word” on two occasions.

Towards the end of the show, I couldn’t help but share some excitement about my latest musical creation, “I Am.” This catchy number includes bold and honest lyrics that truly resonate with me.

‘Can I use curse words?’ she asked host Waleed Aly, before she launched into the song.

After obtaining approval from the project host, Macy boldly declared, “I am who I am, and I don’t care what you think.”

After the performance, Aly expressed her shock and shared the sentiment we all felt. Sarah, in turn, found it amusing and burst into laughter.

‘I did ask permission,’ Macy hit back.

‘Yes, you were very polite about dropping the F-bomb, Macy,’ Aly replied.
