Mrs Hinch Cries: Baby Vinnie Struggling with Colic & Reflux
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Mrs. Hinch disclosed that her newborn son, Vinnie, is dealing with colic and silent reflux, expressing concern about his health.
Cleaning expert Sophie Hinchliffe, aged 35, confessed that her mind has been preoccupied and she hasn’t been able to keep still due to anxiety and concerns.
Colic refers to excessive crying in infants, often without an apparent reason. This condition, though common, usually resolves itself by the time the baby is about 3 to 4 months old, as suggested by the National Health Service (NHS).
Feeding a baby may sometimes cause them to spit out milk or vomit, which is often referred to as reflux. This condition is quite frequent and typically resolves itself without any special treatment.
She mentioned: ‘Every day, I discover something new about parenting. Fortunately, neither Lennie nor Ronnie had issues like colic, silent reflux, or symptoms of allergies or intolerances.’
With Vinnie, it’s an entirely new situation. My thoughts are swirling constantly, as I can’t seem to find rest, pacing back and forth instead. There’s a constant tension in the air, and my mind is filled with worry.

While going without sleep can be challenging, it’s more about observing your baby being uncomfortable and desiring to alleviate their discomfort for me.
‘As a mummy it’s so hard and then the anxiety levels multiply into the thousands!
‘Everything I’m reading online points to either colic or maybe even silent reflux, allergy etc.
I’ve scheduled a meeting on Tuesday with the intention of seeking clarification, and I extend my empathy to those who have already experienced or are currently dealing with similar situations.
Surely, it’s quite a challenging situation, isn’t it? Indeed, it feels like a never-ending merry-go-round without a definitive solution in sight.
A week ago, Sophie unexpectedly needed to go to the hospital due to a blood clot in her leg, which occurred only three weeks following the delivery of her child.
Sophie took to her Story to film a video from her hospital bed explaining what had happened.
Wrapped in a hospital garb, I find myself at a loss for words, my dear fans. This week has left me utterly speechless!

It turned out that I ran into several of my followers at the hospital. Therefore, I wanted to provide a small update since we have such close interactions here. Sharing not only the pleasant moments but also the challenges and difficult times together.
In summary, I experienced a blood clot in my lower body – groin, pelvis, and leg – around two years ago. Unfortunately, I had another one crop up just three weeks after giving birth. It’s been quite a challenging year for me.
As she went on, her voice became filled with emotion: ‘Yet, I can merely guess at the happenings within this hospital, all around me, and I’m not complaining.’
I thought it would be nice to let you know that I ran into a few amazing fans at the emergency room today. They offered their help and asked about my situation with genuine concern.
Initially, I suspected I might have a blood clot in my leg, and unfortunately, it turned out to be true. Despite this setback, I remained optimistic and fortunately, the surgery progressed smoothly. Instead of entering through my neck, they made an incision in my leg for the operation.
Sophie elaborated: ‘They vacuumed out the blood clot, also cleaned out my stents, and in a way, they “vacuumed” me. Isn’t that ironic?’
As someone who’s still under the influence of painkillers and anesthetics, I find myself struggling to express coherent thoughts, but I’ve been asked why I’m in the hospital. Here’s the reason: I recently had a medical procedure that required these medications for comfort and recovery, which is why I find myself in this situation at present.
She comforted by saying: “I merely wanted to assure you that everything is fine with me, everything’s great. There’s a possibility I might be able to return home tomorrow. I’m looking forward to returning home tomorrow, as they’ve told me I can. I can hardly wait to inhale the scent of my boys, especially Vinnie, that fresh newborn aroma.

‘Oh my God, I swear I’m getting withdrawal symptoms from him like, my boobs.’
Sophie mentioned that she’d enjoyed a great video call with her sons and plans on returning home in her ‘newborn cocoon’ the next day.
In a different video, I expressed gratitude to those who I happened to meet among my followers: “Allow me to offer a heartfelt thank you! You’re an exceptional group of individuals. Indeed, you lived up to my expectations. Since our encounter, I underwent a CT scan and various other procedures, and your kindness throughout this experience was truly heartwarming.
They informed me that there was no blood clot and I could return home. However, my leg started swelling more and more, so I decided to visit another hospital instead.
‘They scanned me and said we need to operate, you’ve got a big blood clot. How mad is that?’
The popular social media personality confessed, “That thought is bothering me a lot. Suppose I hadn’t returned… Have you ever understood such concerns? Just follow your instincts, folks.
Later on, Sophie posted a heartwarming video of one of her sons rushing toward her and commented tenderly: ‘I can’t wait until tomorrow when I return home to this.’
Hey there, just wanted to bring it up again. When making decisions about your health or wellbeing, listen closely to your instincts. After all, you are the best expert on your own body. Goodnight and sweet dreams to each one of you, with lots of love xx.

Sophie gave birth to her third child alongside her spouse, Jamie, during the month of February. She shared this joyful news on Instagram in a heartfelt post.
The cleaning expert quickly posted charming pictures of the newly born baby, together with the sweet name he was given.
Later on, she posted a heartwarming clip showing Jamie strolling through the hospital, on their way home with their freshly born baby.
In her post caption, she announced: “Here’s the arrival – Vinnie Alan Barker Hinchliffe. Born on the 18th of February at 12:21 pm. Weighing in at 6 pounds and 7 ounces.
‘Our beautiful little heart healer entered the world In the month we needed him most, February.
‘February is my Dads birthday month my birthday month … And now, it’s our Vinnies
Vinnie, the warmth, solace, and happiness you bring us is beyond what we ever expected. Now, it’s high time for you to meet your handsome bigger siblings and embark on the next exciting phase of our Hinch family tale.
‘@mrhinchhome I love you beyond words❤️ ILYD , I feel you Barker always xx’

In a separate video she shared on her stories, walking out of the hospital, she wrote: ‘Home time’.
The couple are already proud parents to sons Ronnie, five, and Lennie, three.
In September 2024, Sophie shed tears in a heartfelt online video, reaching out to her followers for comfort and solidarity, as she grappled with the lingering sorrow following the passing of her father.
She said: ‘When you’ve been through something like this, it’s a bit like an out of body experience.
She mentioned that the world seemed changed, felt altered, even smelled differently – everything, it seemed, was transformed,” she stated in her August tales.
Sophie revealed on Instagram in May that her father had unexpectedly passed away while sleeping peacefully.
My existence, the entirety of our universe as we know it, has been drastically flipped. An overwhelming, indescribable sorrow fills me that I struggle to express in words.
