As a lifestyle expert with a penchant for emotional intelligence and personal growth narratives, I find Gary Hollywood’s story to be a heartwarming testament to resilience, love, and the profound impact of parenthood. His journey from the set of Mrs Brown’s Boys to the joyous chaos of fatherhood serves as an inspiring reminder that life’s twists and turns can lead us to our most cherished moments.
Actor Gary Hollywood, known for his role in Mrs Brown’s Boys, has announced that he and his spouse Cheyanne have added a new member to their family, their second child.
The 45-year-old Scottish actor, known for portraying Dino on the BBC sitcom, is thrilled following the arrival of his son Carter John, four years after welcoming his elder sibling Oliver (Ollie).
Last year, Cheyanne experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage, which was revealed during a 12-week ultrasound. Now, Gary affectionately calls their newborn, Carter, their “rainbow” child.
Reflecting on his arrival, I couldn’t help but shed tears of joy, just as I did during the births of all my children. However, this moment held an extra-special significance for me, as he was our rainbow baby – a beacon of hope and a testament to new beginnings that made the experience even more precious.
Inquired about her emotions upon discovering she was expecting, Cheyenne responded: “I felt a blend of apprehension and joy. Following my miscarriage, I had sworn off trying again, but that was part of the healing journey.

The couple waited until after Cheyenne had completed a 12-week ultrasound before sharing the news with their friends and relatives that she was carrying a baby for the third time.
She experienced an incredibly swift childbirth as she recounted: “I suddenly found myself rushing to the bathroom, my water breaking there. By 7:40 PM, I was already starting to push. Gary dashed out to fetch something from the car, and when he returned, our baby was almost crowning. The entire labour process took only 20 minutes, and I opted for neither an epidural nor gas and air during it.
In this scenario, Gary is the father of two kids with Cheyenne, making it his second family, while also having three children from a prior relationship, bringing his total number of kids up to five.
The celebrity finds fatherhood more fulfilling now compared to his earlier years, as he spent much of that time pursuing his career and wealth. Consequently, he feels he missed out on many precious moments during those times.
In simpler terms, the actor mentioned that since he stopped working on Mrs. Brown’s Boys, he now can fully appreciate each and every moment spent with his younger kids.
Cheyenne disclosed that she and Gary had decided not to attempt having another child following her miscarriage, and when she discovered she was pregnant once more, they tried to keep their excitement in check.
During the initial stages of Carter’s pregnancy, both individuals felt uneasy, and on a specific night, while having dinner together, Cheyenne began to cry uncontrollably, and Gary followed suit.
Elsewhere during the interview, Gary spoke about his time on Mrs Brown’s Boys
