MrBeast crashes Formula E car: “I felt like I did four spins.”

The popular YouTuber gave the new GEN3 Evo race car a drive.

On March 6, Jimmy Donaldson, better recognized as MrBeast, experienced an accident while driving a Formula E GEN3 Evo vehicle. Thankfully, he emerged without any injuries.

MrBeast crashes Formula E car

During the Evo Sessions event in Miami, an incident occurred while MrBeast was piloting the GEN3 Evo racing vehicle. Notably quick, this car can go from 0 mph to 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds. As stated on the Formula E website, it’s about 30% faster than a contemporary Formula One car.

In MrBeast’s initial run, everything went as planned with him sticking close to the Porsche Taycan Safety Car. However, during his second lap, he unfortunately lost control and collided with a wall. Thankfully, he emerged unscathed from the incident and was able to exit the vehicle unaided. Formula E reported that the impact caused only minor damage to the race car. The session was temporarily halted to retrieve the vehicle.

On Instagram, MrBeast shared an account of his recent encounter, stating, “It seemed as though I had spun four times.” He further inquired if anyone could shed light on the cause behind this spinning incident, and subsequently, he was spotted viewing a video that documented the occurrence.

What is the Formula E Evo Sessions event?

The Evo Sessions competition within Formula E happened in Miami, spanning from March 5th to March 6th. This event brought together 11 select individuals who had the chance to familiarize themselves and test drive the GEN3 Evo race car on the track. Even MrBeast joined in, taking a guided lap around the track.

As per Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds, the Evo Sessions event represents an entirely new approach in motor racing – one that has never been attempted before. This innovative event promises to offer spectators and Formula E enthusiasts a distinctive viewpoint into the life and experiences of a Formula E racer.
