MPL PH: ONIC Kelra rates himself surprisingly low, here’s why

After ONIC PH secures it’s second win of the MPL PH Season 15 regular season agaisnt AP Bren, Kelra rates himself from 1 to 10.

The Gold Standard of ONIC PH, Grant “Kelra” Pillas is widely known for his explosive marksman plays. He even introduced non-marksman Gold Lane to the pro leagues last year with his Alice pick. Needless to say, fans agreed that he deserved the Gold Standard title. The star Gold Laner spearheaded his team to clutch the M6 World Championship title and earned himself a Finals MVP award last year.

However, ONIC Kelra himself is yet to be satisfied with his performance this MPL PH Season 15. Through a post-match press conference after their match in Week 3 Day 3 against AP Bren, he admitted that he still sees room for improvement and he won’t settle for less.

Kelra wants to surpass his prime form

One of the storylines of MPL PH Season 15 is about how the mighty ONIC PH has fallen. The team had a good start in Week 1 against TNC Pro Team. However, the team spiraled into a three-game losing streak. The team was able to pick itself up after a win against AP Bren in Week 3.

ONIC Kelra rated his recent performances to the press. “Just 3.5 out of 10. It’s really low because, in a way, my gameplay earlier didn’t feel like my real game, and the same goes for our team’s gameplay.”

He further elaborated on how he wants to do better and improve his performance in the succeeding weeks. However, simply improving is not enough for him. ONIC Kelra wants to go beyond and surpass his prime form from last season and the M6 World Championship.

“It’s not just about matching my form from last season—I want to surpass it,” he said.

Once a formidable force, the team has yet to show the same level of synergy and precision that made them a threat in previous seasons. However, their recent victory against AP Bren offers a glimmer of hope—a much-needed confidence boost that could reignite their momentum.

Whether this win marks the start of a resurgence or just a brief moment of triumph remains to be seen, but for now, fans can only hope that ONIC PH can turn things around in the coming weeks.
