MPL Malaysia brings Hollywood action to the Land of Dawn with Predator: Badlands

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is expanding its reach with an exciting partnership! MPL Malaysia has announced a collaboration with the new sci-fi action movie, *Predator: Badlands*. This means fans can expect to see elements from the *Predator* universe integrated into MLBB through broadcasts, official channels, and a special fan screening of the film.

The new movie takes place on a dangerous planet in the future and centers around a young Predator who doesn’t fit in. He teams up with an unexpected ally to find the strongest opponent possible. It’s currently playing in Malaysian cinemas, building excitement for this unique crossover.

Krystal Tan, Head of Business Development for Malaysia Esports at MOONTON Games, announced that this partnership marks the league’s second collaboration with a major Disney property this season, following a previous team-up with Tron: Ares. She explained that these kinds of collaborations demonstrate how MPL Malaysia and esports are becoming important parts of youth culture.

From Soloz to 7GL, Malaysia’s stars unite under “Children of MLBB”

To mark its 9th anniversary, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) launched a campaign called “Children of MLBB” (originally “Kami Anak MLBB”). The campaign highlights well-known Malaysian creators like Soloz, whose real name is Muhammad Faris Zakaria, and whose life served as the inspiration for the movie *Game of Life*. Other creators, including 7GL, are also participating.

Soloz thanked the community, emphasizing that “Kami Anak MLBB” isn’t just a slogan, but a core part of their identity. MOONTON Games also celebrated by granting a fan’s birthday wish: all Malaysian players received an exclusive skin, available for 48 hours starting at midnight on October 13th.

In esports, SRG has secured a spot in the Upper Bracket Playoffs after a dominant Week 5 performance, winning against both Team Rey and Monster Vicious. This puts them at the top of the leaderboard with 21 points in MPL MY Season 15. CG Esports had a setback with a 1-2 loss to Homebois, but they’re still within reach of the second Upper Bracket playoff spot, currently holding 18 points.
