In addition to winning the trophy, MP The King of Twisted Minds PH is also focusing on achieving another objective during MPL PH Season 16.

During the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 16, Twisted Minds PH underwent a significant revamp in its roster. The team added four players who previously won the MLBB Development League (MDL) PH Season 5 as part of the Nine Lives squad to their lineup.

In this new setting, Michael “MP the King” Endino finds himself as the main jungler. Rather than fretting over the team’s potential performance, he expresses a sense of confidence in their revamped roster.

In a chat with Esports.gg, MP The King discussed how the latest roster shift has transformed his mindset from self-doubt to accepting a heightened level of accountability. He currently believes it’s his job to create chances that allow his fellow players to exhibit their talents.

A new era for MP The King

Many supporters recognize MP The King for his consistent self-assurance and aggressive approach to the jungle. Yet, behind this facade, he revealed moments when he grappled with self-doubt.

Perhaps I was overly anxious back then, fearing mistakes due to concerns about my teammates’ potential reactions. In essence, I didn’t want to hinder their progress with my errors. So, my apprehension often took precedence over my actions, and that’s the reason for what transpired.

Rather than allowing past setbacks to torment him, MP The King utilized them as motivation instead. He remembered the significant defeats that influenced his worldview, and his resolve to protect his present teammates from experiencing a similar ordeal.

Reflecting on my past, I’m certain of my abilities and believe we can achieve our goal if we take one more step. However, one small mistake could derail us, and I don’t want that to happen again. So, maybe this determination comes from my desire to avoid repeating the mistakes of my past.

MP The King is the one adjusting, not the other way around

This season, team The King features four ex-players from Nine Lives. It’s this lineup that took the top spot in MDL PH Season 5. He finds the changeover to be easier than anticipated for him.

The unique aspect is that the group of four already operate in harmony. Instead, it’s my responsibility to fit into their rhythm; I must adapt myself to them. Contrasting my previous teams where numerous adjustments were necessary – accommodating one team member after another – this team required a lot of time and patience due to constant changes.

Having laid down the foundation, MP The King effortlessly slid into place within the existing framework. When questioned about his confidence in Twisted Minds during the current season, his response was immediate and unwavering.

I’m quite certain. I place a great deal of faith in my teammates. No matter the outcome, I am positive that things will work out favorably.

A Goal Beyond The Championship Dream

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but marvel at the fierce determination of teams in the MPL PH Season 16 – their ultimate ambition is clear: to emerge as the victorious champions. So, it’s hardly surprising that when we talk about a player’s goals for this season, the focus is often on becoming the champion. However, even with such a lofty dream, MP The King has shared an additional goal he harbors aside from lifting the trophy.

This season, my aim is likely to assist my teammates in establishing their reputations on a larger scale. With my experience in the MPL PH, I aspire to contribute to their global recognition not only for their individual skills but also for their collective strength as a team.

For King MP, it’s all about establishing a shared heritage – not just his personal one, but one he creates alongside his fellow warriors.
