Move over Zac Efron! Netflix fans go wild over new hunk starring in a rom-com with Miranda Cosgrove

In the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy “The Wrong Paris,” a fresh, attractive leading man will be making an appearance. This film is scheduled for release on the streaming platform on September 12th, later this year.

In the upcoming film, actor Pierson Fode, aged 33, takes on the role of the charismatic lead male character. This production also features the talented Miranda Cosgrove, a well-known actress from Nickelodeon.

The duo often collaborate, and it’s worth mentioning that the actor first appeared on screen as an actor in a 2012 episode of the popular show iCarly.

Back in 2023, there were rumors that Fode was a contender for the role of Superman. More recently, he has been added to the list of heartthrobs on Netflix, following in the footsteps of Zac Efron who starred in A Family Affair the previous year.

On Tuesday, fresh photos from the movie were unveiled, showcasing Pierson flaunting his toned body as he worked on location.

This narrative focuses on Cosgrove’s persona who believes she’s participating in a romantic reality show in the famed city of Paris, France. However, an unexpected twist reveals that the location is not the City of Lights but rather its Texas namesake.

Additionally, joining Fode and Cosgrove on the cast are Madison Pettis, Torrance Coombs, Madeleine Arthur, and Frances Fisher.

‘So excited,’ one fan penned, while another also typed out, ‘I can’t wait to watch this movie.’ 

Cosgrove herself also offered a simple message of her own and added an array of red heart emojis. 

In the previous month, specifically June, the streaming platform shared a sneak peek photograph, and one fan commented that both Pierson and Miranda were stunningly beautiful.

However, towards the tail end of last year, admirers couldn’t help but express their adoration for the actor after he shared backstage snaps, indicating that he was having a great time filming The Wrong Paris.

One wrote, ‘Hollywood’s favorite cowboy,’ and another shared, ‘Too much hottness in one photo.’ 

In another timeline, @piersonfode will continue to embody the spirit of Superman.

David Corenswet ultimately landed the part of the superhero in the latest James Dunn movie, which started showing in theaters on July 11.

Fode and Cosgrove are teaming up again for their starring roles in an upcoming Netflix film, having previously collaborated on a 2012 episode of Nickelodeon’s iCarly.

After that, the actor took on several different roles, including portraying Brooks in the Disney channel show called Jessie.

From 2015 to 2018, Fode portrayed Thomas Forrester in the daytime drama “The Bold And The Beautiful.” Additionally, he has appeared in television series like “Supergirl” and “Animal Kingdom.

Apart from appearing on TV, he’s also starred in several films ever since he started his acting journey.

He has been featured in the movies Naomi And Ely’s No Kiss List (released in 2015), 72 Hours (expected release in 2024) and The Man From Toronto (released in 2022). Interestingly, these films also starred Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, and Kaley Cuoco.

Pierson was born in the state of Washington and grew up on a farm with his family. 

In a recent chat with People, Fode shared that his upbringing equipped him perfectly for playing his part in The Wrong Paris.

Pierson reminisced about the times when the cast would organize film screenings, playing a fresh romantic comedy every session for motivation.

He mentioned that they enjoy watching Matthew McConaughey’s memorable scenes, and there are a few hidden tributes to him scattered throughout the movie. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a touch of Fode’s style.

In a thrill, Janeen Damian (the director) praised the exceptional ‘connection’ between the two main actors in the Netflix production.

It was evident that there was a spark, not necessarily present all the time, between Pierson and Miranda.

The director went on to say, “Miranda and Pierson perfectly captured their emotional state within the narrative, delivering a stunningly subtle and impactful performance that was an absolute pleasure to direct.

Previously, Fode was recognized with two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for his acting skills in The Bold and the Beautiful.

In a previous conversation with Soap Opera Digest, he reminisced about the significant event and shared that he initially noticed it while being a guest on The Talk.

‘It was cool. Obviously, I was hoping it would happen and it did, so that was really incredible. 

What truly caught me off-guard was discovering the Instagram photo of me in the tanning booth during our trip to Australia. To be honest, I got quite a shock when I looked up and saw myself almost fully exposed on such a large screen. It was definitely unexpected, he quipped.

Fode, who used to be in a relationship with actress Victoria Justice, is quite popular on social media platforms, particularly Instagram where he has amassed an impressive following of one million people.
