MOUZ vs Team Liquid Match preview
MOUZ and Team Liquid were given their invitations during Stage 2 of the ESL Pro League Season 21. As it stands, these two teams are level at 2 wins each, needing just one more victory to secure a place in the playoffs. Interestingly, a loss for either team doesn’t automatically mean they’re out of contention. Instead, both teams will get another chance to qualify through Round 5.
MOUZ initially played against FURIA and Team Falcons in their initial games. They managed to win 2 out of 3 matches against FURIA, but they dominated Team Falcons. The following match was against Team Vitality, a contest that ended unfavorably for MOUZ as they lost both games, with the IEM Katowice 2024 champions being their opponents.
Xertion has consistently excelled as a key player for the team, leading the scoring in two out of three ESL Pro League games. His talent lies in strategic gameplay and maintaining a favorable position throughout a round. He thrives on synergy with his teammates, enabling the team to secure rounds, and is bold enough to make daring moves during these matches.
Despite relying on individual players less than other teams, MOUZ consistently boasts a robust roster that shares the frag count evenly among its members. Players like Xertion, Sphinx, and Torzsi often shine when it’s crucial. Unfortunately, their match against Team Vitality didn’t go as planned, with MOUZ only managing six and seven rounds on each of the two maps.
Team Liquid – staying alive
Initially, Team Liquid suffered a defeat at the start of EPL S21, falling short against Team Falcons by a score of 1-2. However, they’ve impressively recovered from that loss, securing victories over FURIA and Eternal Fire in subsequent matches.
Approaching half a year now, Ultimate has solidified his role as an indispensable teammate on Team Liquid. He’s gained the courage to execute strategic plays that frequently hinge on his exceptional skills to control vital areas of the map. With several seasoned players in their ranks, Team Liquid holds promise to upset a few favorites in this competition. Their initial challenge is against MOUZ. A victory here not only ensures them a spot in the playoffs but also provides valuable time for scouting opponents and strategizing against them.
In the clash between Liquid and Eternal Fire, it was a fierce battle as both teams battled tooth and nail against each other. On the map Inferno, they played an intense 24 rounds before moving onto Train where Team Liquid edged out with a 19-17 win. The thrilling overtimes on Train provided an exhilarating conclusion for Team Liquid, but it also brought to light some of the squad’s shortcomings. However, they have been progressing swiftly as their newest member, Nertz, is gradually settling into his role within the team.
