Motherland star’s beloved BBC series ‘that leaves you wanting more’ just dropped 6 new episodes
Mandy, the beloved BBC series from Motherland star Diane Morgan, has just dropped 6 new episodes.
Morgan’s self-penned and helmed sitcom, where she also takes on the main character, has returned for its fourth season! All fresh episodes are now streaming online on iPlayer.
In the latest series of six episodes, Mandy encounters an unexpected nocturnal intruder, discovers a near-ideal work opportunity, and navigates a significant life transformation. One episode’s title humorously references “Mad Max: Fury Road”.
What to Read Next
As with previous seasons, all the episodes are about 15 minutes apiece.
You could possibly view it as an unappealing aspect, but surprisingly, many viewers find the compact episode structure to be one of the series’ most compelling qualities.
This IMDB review praises a superb ensemble, fast-paced 15-minute installments that leave you craving for more, and the consistently impressive Diane Morgan. It also notes that the runtime suits the material surprisingly effectively.
A quick, witty comedy that lasts only 15 minutes is filled with terrific humor and a speedy storyline. It eliminates any unnecessary elements and focuses solely on the comedic aspects.
A third viewer commented, “Although each episode is just 15 minutes, it surprisingly benefits the show.
Regrettably, it was confirmed last year that no further episodes of Motherland will be produced, despite the fact that spin-off series Amandaland premiered to strong viewership figures earlier this year and has already been commissioned for a second season.
Simultaneously, the star is collaborating with Sarah Kendall from Taskmaster for a fresh BBC sitcom named Ann Droid. This upcoming comedy revolves around an annoying robotic helper.
Mandy seasons 1-4 are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
As an ardent fan, I can’t contain my excitement! The latest Digital Spy print issue, featuring the much-anticipated Oasis – Live in ’25, is now available! You can grab a copy from your local newsagents or conveniently order it online for only £8.99. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience!
