‘Most Hated’ MAFS Bride Slams Channel Nine’s Weak Trigger Warning
Previously criticized participant on the reality show “Married At First Sight,” Alyssa Barmonde, has reappeared to express her disapproval of Channel Nine’s inaugural trigger warning for the show, which was displayed before Wednesday evening’s dinner party episode.
In the course of the show, French resident Paul Antoine confessed shockingly that he had punched a hole in the door while having an altercation with Carina Mirabile in their shared home. This revelation led to strong criticism from the viewing audience.
Before this episode was broadcast, the following warning was given: ‘This episode includes mature subjects and disturbing scenes.’
Alyssa told Daily Mail Australia that the warning was weak.
She responded, “I find it hard to believe that they consider that a legitimate trigger warning.
The quality is utterly unsatisfactory. The use of adult themes leaves room for interpretation. It’s disappointing that he was not immediately taken off the program.

‘So many people had to watch, film, and edit that before still deciding, “Let’s put this on TV.”
If you’ve found yourself involved in a situation of domestic violence, either as a victim or a helper, it is crucial for your safety to help that person escape from their abuser.
As a lifestyle expert, I firmly believe that if you don’t find it necessary for a show like MAFS (Married at First Sight) to be cancelled, then you might unknowingly be supporting the continuation of certain questionable aspects. Here’s why:
1. By considering this as mere entertainment, you may be overlooking its impact on shaping societal norms and behaviors.
2. If you think that MAFS has no responsibility towards the wellbeing and safety of its participants, it’s essential to consider the potential consequences of their actions on vulnerable individuals.
3. Lastly, if you don’t view physical acts like punching a wall out of anger as violence, it’s crucial to understand that such behaviors can lead to harmful consequences for both the individual and those around them.
On Sunday evening, it seems that the experts on Love Island Australia will request Carina to make a decision about whether her husband, Paul, should be removed from the program.
On Wednesday, Josh Fox – the mastermind behind the MAFS Humor Instagram account and podcast – initiated a petition urging the show’s production team to reconsider their approach towards taking care of the participants.
The producers seem to be distancing themselves from that choice and asking Carina, who was the affected party, “How are you doing, Carina? You were the victim, aren’t you?” according to Fox.
‘That is f**ked. And I personally think it’s time we start naming and shaming the producers.’
The petition has 1200 signatures and counting.

Alyssa informed Daily Mail Australia that Josh’s petition is a good beginning, however, it may not be sufficient on its own,”
Or simply:
“Alyssa conveyed to Daily Mail Australia that while Josh’s petition is a decent start, it might not be enough.
It’s crucial that something is changed for this production – whether it’s called off altogether or reimagined with an ethical approach.
Two years ago, Alyssa was paired with Duncan James during the experiment. After her less-than-favorable portrayal on the show, she faced severe online bullying and criticism about her looks.
As a lifestyle advisor, I find myself sharing an experience that, unfortunately, resonates with many: A career journey I never imagined I’d be forced to leave behind. For seven years, I had poured my heart and soul into my job on the Northern Beaches. But life took an unexpected turn when circumstances beyond my control led to my departure – a situation that felt more like fate than coincidence.
Feeling a strong pull towards my roots, I found myself packing up and returning home to Utah, a place that holds dear memories and comforting familiarity. The decision wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. My personal story had taken a public turn, and the media portrayal left me with no choice but to face the challenges head-on in a location where I could rebuild my life.
While the circumstances surrounding my departure were difficult, I remain hopeful for what lies ahead and eager to embrace the next chapter of my journey.
‘I still get trolled,’ Alyssa said.
‘I got three messages today and my season aired two years ago!
The program never ends its broadcast. Initially, it’s aired in Australia, followed by the United Kingdom, and subsequently in the United States. After that, it becomes available for continuous streaming worldwide.
In Australia, domestic violence is now characterized as any action that involves violence, threats, manipulation, or actions meant to instill fear and insecurity within you or your loved ones.

‘Gone are the days where bruises are considered the only proof of DV,’ Alyssa continued.
‘Paul punching a wall near Carina is DV.’
Exclusively reported by Daily Mail Australia, it came to light that Paul erupted in anger following the discovery that his fiancée, Carina, had previously spent a night with American rapper Quavo, leading him to vent his frustration by punching a hole in the wall of their shared apartment during an argument.
Carina kept on expressing her apologies, attempting to comfort Paul by explaining it was merely a casual relationship, however, the disclosure had pushed him beyond his limit.
Channel Nine told Daily Mail Australia they are providing support to the couple.
‘Nine and Endemol Shine Australia has treated this matter extremely seriously.
In every situation, ensuring the health and security of our participants is our top concern. After careful discussions with Carina, it was her preference to carry on with the experiment alongside Paul. They stated that they will continue to offer support to both Carina and Paul.
In conversation with the Daily Mail, Alyssa suggested that production could potentially use on-set psychologists as a tool to be wielded against contestants.
‘What they don’t mention is they use that against participants,’ she said.
When visiting a psychologist for the first time, I was still wearing a microphone, which they could utilize during our session on the couch. They claimed to do this just to meet certain requirements, but later used it against me in the same session. This is how I was treated.

Opinions among viewers about the matter have been widely split. Some ardent MAFS followers are advocating for Paul’s expulsion from the show, or even its cancellation.
Some individuals are angered by the perceived greater attention given to physical abuse compared to emotional abuse in recent discussions, and they are advocating for Adrian Araouzou’s removal from the show as a response.
Some are wondering why Domenica Calarco didn’t experience the same repercussions as others would have, given that she broke a wine glass in 2022.
As a die-hard MAFS fan, I can’t help but notice how swiftly we, the audience, tend to pass judgment on the contestants and even each other in the comment sections. However, what I truly believe needs attention is the accountability that should lie with the production team. After all, they are the ones who carefully select and guide the show’s dynamics, aren’t they?
She stated that by showing such scenes, they are only fanning the flames. It’s like lighting a match and then stepping back to watch it ignite an explosion.
