As a gaming enthusiast, I’m all hyped up about the upcoming sequel of the Mortal Kombat movie! Just recently, their official social media account dropped a sneak peek at Karl Urban, known for his roles in The Boys and Judge Dredd, stepping into the shoes of the brash movie star, Johnny Cage.
Lewis Tan, Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Damon Herriman, Tati Gabrielle, Martyn Ford, Chin Han, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada are set to appear alongside Urban in Mortal Kombat 2. The film is projected for a cinema release in October 2025, which is being handled by Warner Bros. Pictures.
In the picture below, Urban portrays ‘Johnny “Bravo” Cage,’ a character from the movie poster for ‘Uncaged Fury,’ produced by the same studio that gave us ‘Rebel Without a Cage.’ The highly anticipated sequel, ‘Mortal Kombat 2,’ is set to hit theaters and IMAX screens on October 24th. To pass the time before then, feel free to indulge in playing as ‘Cage’ in the original game titled ‘Mortal Kombat 1.’
