Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Ghostface Gameplay Showcases the Psychotic Scream Slasher in Action

As a die-hard fan of both Mortal Kombat and the Scream series, I must say that the latest addition to Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, Ghostface, has me absolutely thrilled! Growing up watching these horror classics, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia as I witness this iconic slasher join the brutal ranks of Mortal Kombat’s fighters.

As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have given us a sneak peek at the gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns’ upcoming Kombat Pack 2 character – none other than Ghostface from the iconic Scream movies. Just like in the films, this masked slasher is as relentless with the stabs and psychotic as ever!

Rather than merely “a man with a knife,” Ghostface proves to be a formidable adversary, capable of matching the ferocity of Mortal Kombat 1’s combatants, as evidenced in the gameplay trailer below. This character exhibits swift and cunning maneuvers, along with a terrifying array of slashing and stabbing techniques.

From my perspective as a die-hard fan, just as you’d anticipate, Ghostface’s fatal move is downright chilling. What sets this character apart is their ability to metamorphose into a vulture, eventually picking their adversary to shreds. It’s gory, but in a way that’s hard to look away from. Catch a glimpse of Ghostface in action in the latest trailer. The Scream slasher will be making its grand entrance in Mortal Kombat 1 starting from the 19th of November, exclusively for those who own Khaos Reigns. For everyone else, they can join the fun from the 26th of November onwards.

Following that, we’ll see the T-1000 Liquid Metal Terminator from T2: Judgment Day, as well as Arnold Schwarzenegger portraying Conan the Barbarian (also seen in Conan the Destroyer and Red Sonja). The game Mortal Kombat 1: Chaos Reigns is now accessible on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
