Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Follow-Up DLC and Kombat Pack 3 Reportedly Cancelled
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for fighting games that span decades, it’s always disheartening to learn about potential content being shelved due to poor sales. I’ve been following _Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns_ since its announcement, and the prospect of new DLC characters like the liquid metal T-1000 Terminator and Conan the Barbarian was truly exciting.
It seems that the low sales of “Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns” might halt any additional Downloadable Content (DLC) for the game, as suggested by a reliable Reddit user who has a history of accurately predicting information related to this series.
It appears that Reddit user _FateUnknown_ believed there was a plan for a third Kombat Pack featuring additional DLC characters and another story expansion like “Khaos Reigns,” but it seems this expansion has been scrapped.
In September, the initial installment of Mortal Kombat, titled “Khaos Reigns,” was released. New additions to the playable characters include Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot, who are featured in a fresh epilogue. Last week saw the introduction of Ghostface from the Scream films as the first out of three guest fighters.
Judgment Day and Conan the Barbarian are expected to join as additional characters in Kombat Pack 2 and the game Khaos Reigns, but their release dates have yet to be announced.
As a passionate gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that you can grab “Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns” right now for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC! And here’s the best part – the expansion is currently selling at a 50% discount. So, let’s unleash some epic battles!
