Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Fighter Takeda Takahashi Revealed
As a longtime fan of Mortal Kombat and someone who’s been following the game since its early days, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to the roster: Takeda Takahashi. With his menacing mask, metal whips, and explosive moves, he exudes an air of raw power and unyielding determination that resonates deep within me.
NetherRealm has revealed the new DLC fighter coming to Mortal Kombat 1, called Takeda Takahashi.
He carries a mask. He seems to wield a pair of metallic whips. He’s equipped with small explosives he launches onto the ground. And he exudes an unpleasant demeanor.
the official description reads:
Just like his relative Kenshi, Takeda Takahashi grew up in the Yakuza world. In contrast to Kenshi, Takeda relished this way of life. Therefore, he was assigned the task to put an end to Kenshi’s campaign against their masters. The fierce battle left Takeda gravely injured. Moved by compassion, Kenshi took him to the Shirai Ryu for medical assistance, hoping to save his cousin’s life.
After Takeda had recovered from his wounds, Kenshi refused to let him go. He was worried that the Yakuza would punish him for not completing his mission successfully. Despite Takeda’s attempts to flee, as time went on, he came to understand and respect the Shirai Ryu’s unwavering dedication to Earthrealm. This was a stark contrast to his previous way of life. Takeda vowed to eradicate Earthrealm’s criminal underworld completely, but soon discovered that it was deeper and more complex than he had ever imagined.
On July 23rd, Takeda will become available as an addition to Mortal Kombat 1 for players who have bought the Kombat Pack. For those who haven’t purchased it yet, they can join the action on July 30th.
