Morrissey cancels his third gig of 2026 at the last minute amid ongoing health concerns after suffering an ‘adverse reaction to prescription medication’

Music legend Morrissey has cancelled another gig on Saturday night amid ongoing health conerns.

The star, 66, pulled out of a concert in Atlanta just hours before he was due to perform on stage.

The show’s organizers announced on social media that everyone who bought tickets will receive a full refund.

The Morrissey concert scheduled for January 17, 2026, at 8 PM has been cancelled because the artist is ill.

You’ll automatically get a refund for your ticket to the original payment method. It should appear in your account within 7 to 10 business days.

Morrissey’s most recent Instagram post from his current tour was a photo taken during Tuesday night’s show in Oklahoma City.

Morrissey, formerly the lead singer of The Smiths, was scheduled to perform in St. Louis on Thursday night. However, recent shows in California were cancelled because he experienced a negative reaction to a prescribed medication.

The Morrissey concert at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage originally planned for Saturday, January 3, 2026, has been postponed because of a bad reaction to medication, according to a statement from the venue.

‘Please hold onto your tickets as they will be honored for a rescheduled date.

‘Should you wish to request a refund, please contact your original point of purchase.

‘Requests for refunds must be received before February 2, 2026 at 5:00pm PST. (sic)’

His gig in San Diego the following evening was also cancelled.

These recent cancellations follow his decision to postpone shows in several South American cities – Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Lima, and Bogota – which were originally scheduled for November 8th to 22nd.

Just days prior, Morrissey also cancelled two shows in Mexico for the same reason.

Morrissey cancelled his concerts in Turkey in October after facing criticism for voicing support for Israel.

Tickets for the December concerts were pulled after a video from a 2012 performance in Tel Aviv surfaced online. The video showed the artist performing while wrapped in an Israeli flag, and it quickly went viral.

In September, the singer cancelled shows in Connecticut and Boston after receiving a serious threat of being attacked on stage.

A recent post on Morrissey’s Facebook page stated that he had received a credible threat to his life.
