Excitedly, I’m sharing the news about my favorite studio, Realfun Studio, introducing their social rural life simulator, Morikomori Life! Now, it’s ready for download on Android and iOS devices in Japan. Originally launched in China by Level Infinite, a Tencent Games subsidiary, the game was temporarily halted around this time last year. But now, I can’t wait to immerse myself back into this charming virtual countryside life!

In simpler terms, the game titled “Morikomori Life” is a soothing, everyday farm simulation set in the tranquil village named Komori. You assume the role of Kaon, who goes back to her old hometown upon receiving a letter from Grandma. The game offers a relaxing, rural lifestyle where you can engage in farming, fishing, cooking, hunting, and various other activities.

Immediately grabbing my focus was the enchanting art style reminiscent of Studio Ghibli, and the meticulously designed Japanese village rendered in 3D toon shading. Being an anime enthusiast with a soft spot for Japan, I’m eagerly looking forward to delving into the tranquil, expansive Japanese landscapes that this game promises.

In terms of gameplay, there’s a multitude of activities you can engage in. You can cultivate the land, plant crops, harvest them, and even cook scrumptious meals using various ingredients. Additionally, you can go on expeditions to discover scarce materials by felling trees, mining iron deposits, or simply exploring new territories. I find the everyday life aspects of the game incredibly appealing.
