Morgan Wallen admits guilt on a conditional basis for charges resulting from an episode where he hurled a chair off a sixth-floor balcony in Nashville, leading to a sentence being imposed upon him.

As reported by concert organizer Live Nation, the artist known for “Whiskey Glasses” is revising the playlist for his One Night at a Time World Tour to incorporate songs from his upcoming album, titled “I’m the Problem,” which will be released on January 31.

The artist, who is 31 years old, expressed his heartfelt appreciation on Friday for the incredible memories made during the One Night at a Time World Tour and for the unwavering support from fans who attended each concert. As he continues to work on fresh music, it has ignited a desire within him to return to the road for the I’m the Problem Tour, where he will perform these new songs for everyone. See you there!

Wallen hasn’t disclosed the release date for his new album yet, and he confirmed on Friday that he is still working on it. However, a snippet of audio Wallen posted in January 2024 with the title “I’m the Problem” has been circulating on TikTok under the name “I Guess.” Meanwhile, fans of Taylor Swift (known as Swifties) criticized Wallen on Friday over the title of his tour, claiming that he borrowed a signature line from Swift’s 2022 song “Anti-Hero” for promotional purposes. Reps for Wallen have not yet commented on this matter.

The “I’m the Problem” Tour commences at NRG Stadium in Houston on June 20th and 21st, followed by stops in Madison, Wisconsin; Miami Gardens, Florida; Glendale, Arizona; and Seattle. In early August, Wallen will perform twice at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, with Wilson and Lambert joining him on the 1st and Wilson alongside Brooks & Dunn on the 2nd. However, no dates have been announced (so far?) for Los Angeles.

Wallen’s latest work is predicted to be among the top-selling albums this year, regardless of whether its success stems from or in spite of its avoidance of the controversy surrounding his actions in 2021.

Following stops in Cleveland, Foxborough, Massachusetts, and Toronto, the tour will finish on September 13 with a two-night run at Commonwealth Stadium, located in Edmonton, Canada.

The artist’s presale registration starts this Friday and continues until Tuesday. The presale kicks off on January 30, with the general sale following on January 31 at morganwallen.com. A share of ticket sales will be contributed to the Morgan Wallen Foundation.

After experiencing a temporary setback in early 2021 that dented his reputation, Wallen spent most of last year on his “One Night at a Time” stadium tour, which was inspired by his album “One Thing at a Time.” The tour, which eventually extended to 87 dates, generated over $300 million in revenue, making it the highest-grossing country tour ever.

The tour continued despite Wallen facing consequences following his April arrest, when he is said to have hurled a chair from the rooftop of a downtown Nashville bar. In December, he accepted a conditional plea for two misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment related to that incident in Davidson County Circuit Court. As part of his sentence, he was ordered to spend seven days at a DUI education center, serve two years’ probation, pay a $350 fine and cover court costs.

Opinion

A year after causing controversy by shouting racist slurs in his yard, country musician Morgan Wallen has returned to the stage and is selling records as well as Adele. What’s his recipe for success?

In a surprising win at the Country Music Association Awards held in November, the number one hit artist was titled the “Entertainer of the Year.” Additionally, he and hip-hop sensation Post Malone are both up for their first Grammy Awards during the February ceremony, thanks to their duet “I Had Some Help.

Wallen’s fresh tour is scheduled following his first Sand in My Boots Festival, happening in May on Alabama’s Gulf Shores beaches. This sold-out event boasts headlining acts from Wallen, Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and Hardy over a span of three days, as per Live Nation. Additionally, Riley Green, Bailey Zimmerman, T-Pain, Diplo, Wiz Khalifa, the War on Drugs, 2 Chainz, Chase Rice, Three 6 Mafia, 3 Doors Down, Ella Langley, Ernest, Morgan Wade, Moneybagg Yo and others have been confirmed to perform at this festival.
