More fears for Paul Hogan’s wayward son as he reveals his rotten teeth in ominous video – after Crocodile Dundee star’s ice-ravaged grandson is rushed to rehab
As a compassionate observer, it seems that young Jake Hogan is unfortunately following a troubling path, much like the crocodile-filled rivers of his grandfather’s tales, but instead of dangerous creatures lurking beneath the surface, he appears to be battling demons of his own. His life story, riddled with arrests and breaches, is a stark contrast to the glamour and fame associated with his legendary family name.
Paul Hogan’s wayward son Chance shared a concerning video to social media on Wednesday.
As the offspring of the iconic Crocodile Dundee star, now in his 80s, and my mother – his former wife and equally renowned co-star, I find myself being the sole heir to the captivating Australian legacy we’ve collectively built.
He posted disturbing videos on Instagram, ominously claiming something is about to ‘begin’.
In a remarkable transformation, Chance sported lengthy dark hair, donned blue sunglasses, and held a cigarette between yellowed teeth that seemed to hint at gum disease.
‘It’s only just begun,’ Chance said in his first video as he gave the camera an exaggerated smile.
He then uploaded a series of selfies on a balcony at an LA apartment while he listened to music.
In the image, he was seen gripping a bottle of beer that functioned as an ashtray, containing numerous butts from cigarettes he had smoked, with perhaps around forty or so.
In his second upload, Chance seemed to alarm viewers by seemingly counting down to an unspecified occurrence for his followers.
‘One hour and 25 minutes, 24 minutes now in fact. That’s when it commences. Let’s see,’ he said.
It remains uncertain which instance is being referred to as ‘the beginning’, and since the last video, Chance hasn’t updated his Instagram account.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Chance and his father Paul for comment.
In March, Chance was last seen having an uncommon outing with his dad, Paul, in Los Angeles. This sighting occurred only a few months following his stay at the hospital, which took place in October 2023.
During their excursion, Paul shared with DailyMail.com that his youngest child is significantly improving after a necessary visit to the hospital.
A few months back, Chance posted a troubling video on Instagram showing him with multiple cuts and bruises.
However, on a bright Los Angeles afternoon in March, Chance appeared improved as he spent a pleasant father-son moment together.
The budding musician had a past marked by unpredictable actions, and there were reports suggesting he had an obsession with the devil in the past. However, after his parents collaborated, they helped him regain focus.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but notice that Chance has been posting some troubling updates recently. This follows close on the heels of Jake, Paul’s chilled-to-the-bone grandson, being admitted to a bleak correctional facility for treatment just a few days ago.
In a desperate plea for another opportunity, Jake, aged 34, admitted to a series of criminal acts as he struggled with his inability to break free from his powerful ice addiction.
On Friday, he admitted to a string of minor offenses for the purpose of expediting his case in the NSW Drug Court and promptly enrolled in a correctional rehabilitation program within a prison setting.
Magistrate Sharon Freund learned that Jake chose the Drug Court program, a choice that involves admitting guilt and being admitted into a specific rehabilitation facility for drug addiction treatment.
Jake has become deeply addicted to methamphetamine and is set to be admitted into the Mandatory Drug Rehabilitation Facility located at Parklea Prison, approximately 40 kilometers from Sydney.
Under the tougher prison rules he’s enforcing, he’ll experience a harsh change in circumstances, as there will be no personal space, not even during bathroom breaks, aiming to help him become drug-free and secure his freedom.
For the upcoming six months, he’ll be in strict confinement receiving therapeutic treatment. Following that, another six months will be spent in a partially open facility.
After being granted parole, it’s important to note that he must submit to weekly urine tests, specifically three times a week, at the Parklea center.
Toilets equipped with windows are designed for staff observation, enabling them to verify that males are providing a urine sample honestly and not attempting to hide signs of potential drug use.
The Drug Court program caters specifically to individuals such as Jake, who have committed crimes due to their struggle with drug addiction. Those involved in violent acts or robberies are typically not eligible for this system.
Despite being frequently found with tools commonly used for breaking into vehicles and houses, such as wire cutters, adjustable wrenches, and spanners, Jake has not been accused of committing any violent crimes.
Jake, grandson of the renowned actor from the Crocodile Dundee movies, has experienced numerous arrests and violations ever since he developed an addiction to crystal meth three years back.
Previously, he has faced allegations such as carrying a knife in a public area, causing intentional property damage, illegal possession of drugs, stealing from shops, theft of bicycles, and holding items known to be stolen.
In a remarkable twist of events, I was granted an opportunity for a fresh start when my father bravely traveled all the way from New Zealand. This selfless act led to a compassionate judge granting me release into my father’s care.
However, Jake violated the community order he received earlier, as his father Todd arrived from New Zealand in May, and together with Jake’s sister Lara, they pleaded for his release.
After a fall, Jake was seen once again using meth, as evidenced by exclusive photographs from Daily Mail Australia that depict him, who was once an attractive young carpenter, appearing thin and worn down by drug use.
As a devoted admirer, I find myself compelled to share the news: Todd, one of Paul’s children from his first marriage with Noelene, has taken on a significant role. He pledged to assist Jake in adhering to the court-mandated conditions. These conditions include abstaining from substance abuse, avoiding further offenses, and making all required court appearances.
Following his release from Silverwater Prison in May, Jake moved to reside at the Edgecliff Lodge Motel, located in the eastern part of Sydney, with his father.
Instead of embracing a peaceful life of shared meals with family, he seemed to favor socializing evenings with friends, going out in the city.
In just eight days following his release, authorities re-arrested Jake for an earlier suspicion of bike theft. At approximately midnight on July 27th, he was apprehended once more in the district of Glebe, located in the western part of Sydney.
He was charged with possession of 1.5g of methamphetamine and also possessing housebreaking implements including an adjustable spanner.
On August 2, when he didn’t show up at Downing Centre Local Court, Magistrate Clare Farnan issued an arrest warrant. Six days later, the police took him into custody.
It turns out that he had previously been accused of committing another offense – the theft of a black Trek Marlin mountain bike, the careless damage of a bike storage pen fence, and unauthorized entry into confined areas at Woolloomooloo, all occurring in February.
Additionally, he faced accusations for stealing a Red Bull energy drink valued at around $4.80 and two oat health slices priced at approximately $4.80 from Woolworths in the month of July.
In addition to the charges related to his activities in Kings Cross, involving proactive crime suppression, he was also accused of holding tools used for damaging vehicles in Kingsford during June. Furthermore, there’s a charge against him for violating an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO).
Through admitting guilt for all the accusations made against him, undergoing rehabilitation in prison, and transitioning his case to the drug court, Jake could potentially regain his freedom, but only under stringent terms.
Paul Hogan has four sons named Brett, Clay, Scott, and Todd, along with a daughter named Lauren, all of whom he shares with his former wife Noelene Edwards, whom he divorced back in 1986 after being married for 25 years.
In 1990, he married his Crocodile Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski who he shares Chance with. The couple divorced in October 2013.
