Monty Don’s Naked Garden Blunder!
Monty Don confessed that he found himself completely exposed, or “bare as a newborn,” in his garden due to an amusing mishap.
In a recent interview, the Gardeners World host, aged 69, reminisced about the time when a group of cows turned his peaceful garden into a scene of upheaval.
In his own backyard at Longmeadow, Ivington, Herefordshire, Monty captures the series and shared that he regularly witnesses a variety of wild creatures through his window.
He told The Sun: ‘Sometimes we have wildlife there that we don’t want. One time some cattle got in.
‘I got in the bath, looked out of the window and there was this big white face looking at me.
I quickly grabbed a towel and dashed outside to catch up with them. Since it was muddy, I donned my wellies. Unfortunately, the towel slipped away from me, and there I was, bare as a newborn lamb, sprinting across Long Meadow.
Monty explained that he successfully guided the herd away and took measures to prevent a recurrence.
Lately, I’ve shared my planned comeback to work, despite health challenges, as I secured a fresh BBC series that steers me clear of Gardeners’ World.
During his “An Audience With Monty Don” tour, the television personality found himself needing to postpone six shows due to an unexpected hospital stay that lasted for multiple days.
But now he has landed another new show as he will star in Monty Don’s British Gardens.
He updated his beloved garden fans with a social media post created by Wildside Gardens.
Monty posted this: “Greetings! What’s happening here? A chat between Monty and Keith about everything related to gardening.
At last, it’s with great excitement that we announce Keith and Wildside will make an appearance on Monty Don’s British Gardens show, airing from January onwards!
‘All episodes will be available on iPlayer from the 10th January.
It was a delight to host @themontydon and their crew in our garden, and we’re eagerly anticipating the upcoming series – something exciting to look forward to in the coming New Year!
From The Dirt News he shared: ‘New BBC series: Monty Don’s British Gardens 10/01/2025 on @bbctwo.
