Montblanc and Wes Anderson Reunite for Playful ‘Let’s Write’ Short Film

In the previous year, the renowned German luxury brand Montblanc commemorated a centenary of their famous Meisterstück fountain pen by releasing a comical short movie directed by Wes Anderson. Montblanc encourages you to delve into its rich history with a lighthearted second edition, starring Rupert Friend, Michael Cera, Waris Ahluwalia, and others.

Renowned actors make their way back to the Montblanc Montblanc High-Altitude Library in the Observatory, where they share insights about the brand’s mastery in fountain pens, timepieces, and leather crafting with the audience. The program Let’s Write incorporates humor as it previews a lighthearted narrative that celebrates Montblanc’s passion for travel.

The four-minute video starts by showcasing an energetic scene at the Montblanc Observatory, transitioning into a lively bar setting just before the holiday season. During this, we are introduced to several new products: the Montblanc Writing Traveler Bag, a “SCHREIBERLING” designed by Wes Anderson, a Portable Writing Table, and a Minerva Pocket Watch. The video concludes on the Montblanc Voyage of Panorama, where we see these iconic pens being used to write a fresh new story.
