Even though Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection aims for a grander, more cinematic story with impressive cutscenes, it’s surprisingly similar in length to the older, simpler games in the series.
According to a recent interview with 4Gamer, the new RPG is expected to take most players between 40 and 50 hours to finish, according to series veteran and executive producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.
This is similar to the length of Monster Hunter Stories and its sequel, Wings of Ruin, which both take around 40 to 50 hours to complete the main story.
You can significantly extend your time playing those games by completing end-game activities or simply focusing on leveling up your monsters.
Tsujimoto hasn’t discussed that part of Monster Hunter Stories 3, but most people expect it to work similarly to past games. The demo, available now on PS5, already shows a detailed and engaging system for raising monsters.
The new game revolves around raising monsters, then letting them go to strengthen their species. If you enjoy games that take a lot of time and effort, this one seems like it’ll fit the bill.
