- MONOPOLY GO! teases a new Carnival mini-game mode called Battleship.
- Players will place ships, take turns firing, and earn tickets by sinking fleets and finding treasure.
It appears that Monopoly GO! is preparing to launch one of its most strategic and engaging mini-games yet, with the anticipated inclusion of Battleship, a two-player Carnival event. If you’ve been yearning for something more tactical than just rolling dice, this could be exactly what you’re after.
Battleship Mini-Game Feature in MONOPOLY GO!
In a game of Battleship, there’s an exciting twist as you engage in turn-based combat with opponents on a grid layout. First, you place your vessels by dragging, adjusting their orientation if needed, and securing them in place. Then, it’s a matter of taking turns to launch attacks!
In this game, every successful or unsuccessful attempt is indicated by differently colored pegs: red for successes and white for misses. Sinking entire ships will grant you tickets, the primary type of currency used here. Additionally, there are secret treasure bottles that offer additional rewards, but beware of mines as they can disrupt your game by costing you a turn.

As a thrill-seeker, I’d say, if you’re feeling daring, you can amplify the excitement with a “Bet Up” feature. These tickets are meant for themed prizes or achieving milestones, reminiscent of the fun and games at traditional carnival events we’ve enjoyed together in the past.
It appears that they are developing a tracking system which keeps tabs on winning streaks in battles, generates reports for each match, and allows you to queue up several battles if your adversary is delaying. Although a release date hasn’t been announced, the feature seems almost complete.
