Bobby Hart, best known as a member of The Monkees, passed away at his Los Angeles home at age 86. His health had been failing after he broke his hip last year.
The sad news was shared by his friend and co-author Glenn Ballantyne.
The musician wrote songs for the popular 1960s pop band the Monkees.
He worked on their theme song for their show.
This 1960s series follows the fun and adventures of four young men – Davy, Peter, Micky, and Mike – who perform as the rock band The Monkees.
Hart also penned Last Train to Clarksville as well as (I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone.
