Monarch: Legacy of Monsters confirms big change for season 2
As a long-time fan of the Kaiju genre and a frequent traveler across continents, I must say that the news about Monarch: Legacy of Monsters shifting production to Queensland, Australia for season 2 has me absolutely thrilled! Not only does it mean more epic monster battles, but it also gives me an excuse to explore another beautiful corner of the world.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has a big change for the upcoming season 2.
The series is based on the same universe as Legendary’s Godzilla and Kong movies, exploring a secretive organization and their link to the colossal creatures throughout various generations.
According to Variety’s report, the second season is planned to shift its filming location from British Columbia, Canada, to Queensland, Australia. This will mark the largest series ever produced within the region, allowing the producers to benefit from numerous incentives and subsidies available.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but feel elated about the incredible year we’ve had for screen production here in sunny Queensland! Our esteemed Miles Government is thrilled to announce the arrival of this major series in our state – it’s an honor to be part of this exciting journey.
“Employing approximately 1,000 locals, Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters offers a substantial advantage for local businesses. These businesses will play an essential role in the production – from providing accommodations, medical services, and catering to ensuring security, transportation, and wardrobe provisions.”
Upon the announcement of season 2, Morgan Wandell, Apple TV+’s international development head, expressed in a statement that “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” has made a lasting impression on the emotions, thoughts, and creativity of global audiences. This impact was primarily driven by the genius of co-creators Chris Black and Matt Fraction, as well as Kurt Russell and the exceptionally talented cast and creative team.
“We can hardly contain our enthusiasm! Viewers will not only get to enjoy additional excitement in season 2, but also set out on incredible adventures within the series, as Legendary’s MonsterVerse broadens its horizons.”
As someone who’s been following the world of giant monster movies for quite a while now, I must say that the release of “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” this year has definitely piqued my interest. The film garnered some pretty positive reviews, and it was a treat to see these two iconic creatures go head-to-head on the big screen.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 1 can be streamed on Apple TV+ now.
