Moment Venezuela Fury’s fiancé asks Tyson’s permission to propose at her 16th birthday party as boxer says ‘I am losing my baby to a stranger’ following four-month romance

I was so surprised last September when Venezuela Fury announced that her boyfriend, Noah Price, had proposed to her right at her sweet sixteen! It was such a shock, but also really sweet.

As wedding planning progressed, the new series of At Home With The Furys offered viewers an exclusive look at the couple’s engagement.

Tyson and Paris’ oldest daughter was thrilled when Noah proposed in front of their friends and family. He had just finished asking Tyson for his blessing to marry her.

Her parents weren’t surprised by the proposal, because Venezuela had already let them know Noah would be asking for their blessing for Tyson.

Paris notes that girls in Traveller communities often marry young, but she still believes 16 is an exceptionally young age to get married.

Initially, Tyson was hesitant about the idea, questioning, ‘How can I trust someone I barely know with my child?’ He also emphasized the seriousness of marriage to her.

“You’ve got to be kidding!” Tyson exclaimed when Venezuela told him his daughter’s boyfriend was planning to propose.

He continued by saying that marriage, as he understands it, is a lifelong commitment. Once you make that promise in a church—say “I do”—no legal document or government action can break it, because what God unites cannot be separated.

It’s a commitment that lasts your whole life. Regardless of your age – even if you’re just sixteen – are you prepared to commit to someone you’ve only just met?

Are you absolutely certain about that?” he asks, responding to Venezuela’s insistence. Then, acknowledging her claim, he says, “I had a good feeling about you as soon as I met your mother.”

‘If you can get a sensible lad which he is, what more could you want.’

The athlete addressed the camera and shared that he’s still processing the decision, admitting, ‘I’m a little unsure about it all – things have happened quickly.’

Well, it looks like things are moving fast! Just days after Venezuela’s birthday, the boxer has completely embraced the idea of getting engaged, and honestly, it’s happening much sooner than anyone anticipated. It’s so exciting when love blossoms quickly!

While the girls were on their way to the party, Noah went to meet Tyson, noting it was the first time they’d had a private conversation.

Noah explained that he hesitated before entering Tyson’s property, driving by the gate repeatedly to work up the nerve.

Noah explained to the show’s producers that he was incredibly nervous because it was the first time he’d spoken to his future father-in-law alone. He jokingly added that of all possible father-in-laws, he ended up with a world champion!

‘I was practising the words over and over in me head, hoping that he said yes.’

Noah, visibly emotional and close to tears, asked if he could marry their daughter.

‘When’s all this come about then?’ Tyson says.

‘I don’t know, past few months,’ Noah replies.

Tyson continued, saying, ‘Let me ask you something. You’re young, so I’m going to talk to you like a friend – like I would talk to my own son.’

Getting married is a lifelong commitment, and it’s a big decision. Are you truly ready for that kind of responsibility?

In my family and community, divorce isn’t accepted. Once a relationship ends, there’s no going back, and I wouldn’t consider getting divorced, especially not after only two years, or at my age. That’s just not something we do.

Honestly, I just keep replaying his words in my head. It’s like, someone asked him – this incredibly talented, young guy with his whole future ahead of him – if he was absolutely certain about his path. It just… gets to me, you know? Like, is he really, truly sure this is what he wants? I just want him to be happy, and I worry he’s putting everything on the line!

‘Yeah one million percent, yeah,’ replies Noah.

Tyson offered his support and congratulations, saying, “Go for it!” He then asked for a hug before the two of them went to the party to celebrate the exciting news.

And as Noah enters the party it appears everyone knows what he is about to do.

He approached his future wife with a mix of nerves and excitement, starting with a simple ‘How are you?’ Then, with a trembling knee, he proposed.

Venezuela happily accepted, and the couple looked thrilled in photos taken throughout the evening. She shared with the cameras, ‘He had always said he wanted to marry me.’

For people watching the show, the engagement might seem sudden. During filming of the first episode in May, there was no indication she even had a boyfriend, let alone a fiancé.

While Tyson and Paris are enjoying a vacation without their children, Paris jokingly remarked that their daughter Venezuela is turning sixteen this year and will soon be attracting attention from boys.

“I disagree,” Tyson states firmly. “Perhaps one boyfriend, but not multiple. The idea is to have one boyfriend and then marry him – that’s the traditional way it goes.”

Speaking to the camera, Paris reveals she ‘would die’ if Venezuela was to get married.

The thought of losing my life is devastating, especially the impact it would have on my family. Imagining her bedroom empty is unbearable, but I’ll face that reality if it ever comes to pass.

Okay, so Venezuela and Noah really made their relationship public last June! They were at the Ascot Races and shared a bunch of adorable photos together – it was their official Instagram debut as a couple. It was a sweet way to announce they were together!

The sudden engagement mirrors the love story of Tyson’s parents, who initially met when he was 17 and Paris was 15. They later reconnected and began dating around Paris’s sixteenth birthday.
