Mom worked with Julia Roberts, dad costarred with Tom Cruise, and she is dating her Narcos costar. Who is she?

This acclaimed up-and-coming actress comes from a very interesting background.

She’s had the privilege of working alongside numerous high-profile actors, including portraying Julia Roberts‘ on-screen sibling. Moreover, she boasts a relationship with Andy Warhol that stretches over six decades old.

Over the course of four decades, my father has built an impressive career in the film industry, appearing in both action movies and suspenseful thrillers. Remarkably, he shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to work tirelessly.

His costars include Jennifer Aniston and Tom Cruise.

This little lady is doing better than ever after appearing in the blockbuster horror movie Smile.

In the series Narcos: Mexico, she played an assertive character who was a self-indulgent beauty in love with a criminal drug lord, portraying a strong and seductive role.

And she fell in love on set with a costar. They posed together during the Golden Globes last week.

Who is she?

She is Sosie Ruth Bacon, 32.

Sosie is the daughter of actors Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

The star has gained significant recognition through her latest movie “Smile,” yet it’s important to remember that she initially garnered attention as a strong-willed character in the series “Narcos: Mexico.

She had her first experience with acting at a young age, playing the role of 10-year-old Emily in her father’s movie titled Loverboy which was released in 2005.

The New York native was also in her mother’s show The Closer (2009).

In 2013, Bacon was crowned Miss Golden Globe 2014. 

Then came bigger films.

In the movies Wishin’ and Hopin’ (released in 2014), Ana Maria in Novela Land (2015), Charlie Says (2018), The Last Summer (2019), and Wyrm (2019), Bacon made an appearance.

Besides appearing on Scream (2016) TV show, Sosie also starred in the series Story of a Girl (2017) and 13 Reasons Why (2017-2018).

Then came Narcos: Mexico (2020).

 Later she was in Mare of Easttown (2021), As We See It (2022) and the horror film Smile (2022).

Bacon studied at Brown University and has studied at musical theatre company CAP21.

Her brother, Travis Bacon, is a musician. 

 Kyra has an interesting background.

She comes from the lineage of William Ellery, who put his signature on the Declaration of Independence, and Ellery Sedgwick, who served as editor for The Atlantic Monthly.

She is related to actor Robert Sedgwick as his sister, to jazz guitarist Mike Stern as his half-sister, to actress Edie Sedgwick as a distant cousin one step removed, and to writer John Sedgwick as his niece.

In my professional expertise, I find myself reminiscing about Edie Sedgwick, a captivating figure whose multifaceted career as an actress, model, and socialite made her a beacon of the ’60s cultural scene. Notably, she was among Andy Warhol’s luminaries, gracing several of his iconic films during that era.

Her prominence led to her being dubbed an It Girl while Vogue magazine named her a Youthquaker. 

She died at age 28 in Santa Barbara. 

George Nozuka, a well-known R&B artist, Philip Nozuka who acts, and Justin Nozuka, a talented singer-songwriter, all have her as their aunt.

Their mother, Holly, is Sedgwick’s half-sister.
