Last month, before walking the runway at the L’Oreal show in Paris, Molly-Mae Hague became upset and tearfully considered cancelling her appearance at the last moment, reportedly having a ‘diva’ meltdown.
The 26-year-old influencer was deeply upset by the dress the brand selected for her, as shown in Saturday’s release of the second season of her Prime reality show, *Behind It All*.
Oh my gosh, in episode three, Molly-Mae *finally* wore that satin champagne dress, and it was stunning! Seriously, it had these amazing shoulder pads and a huge thigh-high slit. But, can you believe she complained about it? She said it looked ‘baggy’ on her and that the colour totally ‘washed her out’! I honestly couldn’t believe it – she looked incredible, but she just wasn’t seeing it!
The emotional Love Island contestant explained she was asserting herself and refusing to back down, then revealed she was having a panic attack and wouldn’t model the dress with Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne.
As her sister, Zoe, tried to de-escalate things, Molly-Mae became visibly upset, exclaiming, “This dress isn’t something you just make do with! Look at my leg—it’s completely exposed!”
Throughout my career, I’ve always managed to avoid any wardrobe mishaps. But at the moment I needed to look and feel my best, I unexpectedly had to reveal my leg because I didn’t have anything else suitable to wear.

This color makes me look terrible, and I’m starting to feel really anxious. The outfit is too loose and doesn’t flatter my figure at all. I’m supposed to be going on stage and feeling confident in front of a large audience, but I don’t at all right now.
I refuse to face Kendal, Cara, and Eva looking anything less than my best. It’s impossible to act confident when I’m actually feeling insecure.
Molly-Mae’s team frantically called L’Oreal, requesting changes to her outfit, but the brand insisted they had no alternatives available, and time was quickly running out before she needed to be at the show.
Even though there was a lot of talk surrounding it, she ultimately walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week in the dress – a year after initially declining because she wasn’t feeling confident.
Last month, Molly-Mae Hague – who became a L’Oreal ambassador in a deal worth a reported seven figures – walked the runway at Paris City Hall alongside several famous models. The show, titled ‘Liberty. Equality. Sisterhood. Because You’re Worth It,’ was a star-studded event.
She later shared on social media that she’d walked the runway this year, explaining she wanted to prove to herself and her daughter, Bambi, that facing your fears can lead to incredible experiences. She thanked L’Oréal Paris for their support and belief in her.
She later shared her thoughts on Instagram, posting a stylish photo from behind the scenes with the caption: ‘These past few days have been unbelievable… like something out of a movie!’

I almost missed my chance to walk the runway, but making it actually made the experience even better! We filmed everything, of course! ❤️
Molly-Mae also posted an old video from last year where she admitted she was nervous about walking in a fashion show.
In her Prime Video reality series, Molly-Mae talked about feeling uncomfortable at fancy events. She also shared that she was asked to walk in a Paris fashion show next September, but she decided not to do it.
She explained to the L’Oreal makeup artists at the runway show that she declined their request to walk in the show. ‘It’s just not my thing,’ she said, adding, ‘I don’t think my legs are suited for that kind of work.’
Looking at the other models, including Kendall Jenner, during rehearsals made it clear why she struggled to perform. She said, ‘Everyone here is just flawless, and that’s why I couldn’t walk.’
I pictured all the other models on the runway, and I knew I’d feel completely out of sorts.
The television personality recently confessed she relies on the crew from ‘Behind It All’ to quickly come to her aid whenever there’s conflict, revealing her attempt to build a personal ’empire’.
She explained that winning a National Television Award created extra pressure to keep her Amazon Prime show performing well.
Molly-Mae Hague won the award for Best Authored Documentary for her revealing series. She beat out strong contenders like ‘There’s Only One Rob Burrow,’ ‘Flintoff,’ and ‘Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me’.
Everyone thought Rob’s family would win, but in the end, Molly-Mae was the one who took home the award.
She told the Daily Mail at a question-and-answer session in London that winning the National Television Award definitely increased the pressure she was under.
I’m a perfectionist, so I always feel pressure to deliver my best work. Winning an NTA just amplifies that, because now people expect me to maintain that same high standard.
Molly-Mae says she felt more comfortable being open in the second series because she had grown to trust the film crew better.
She explained that she felt more comfortable trusting her teammates this season and allowed herself to relax a bit, something she’s been working on.
In the past, I was hesitant to share my ideas or concerns with the team, especially when we were first working together. I didn’t fully trust them yet, as it was all new to me.
To be honest, I’m pretty nervous about this, as I’ll be discussing things I’ve never talked about before. But I’m putting my trust in the people I’m working with.
The reality TV star confessed that whenever something big happens in her life, her first instinct is to call the show’s production team so they can film it.

She explained that they always tell her to call if anything unexpected happens, because those spontaneous, unscripted moments often produce the best results.
I often say I dislike conflict or upsetting situations, but honestly, when they *do* occur, they make for really compelling content.
Filming certain scenes can be really challenging, but seeing everything come together in the final edit makes it worthwhile. It’s clear why they focus on both the best and worst moments – those contrasts really make for compelling television.
