Molly-Mae Hague admits she can’t even shower without her ‘clingy’ daughter Bambi ‘screaming and crying’ as she reveals parenting struggles

As a seasoned observer of celebrity lives, I must say that watching Molly-Mae and Tommy’s relationship journey has been quite captivating, from their meet-cute on ITV to their engagement and the birth of their daughter Bambi. Their split came as a shock to many of us fans who had followed their love story closely.

Molly-Mae Hague shared that she finds it impossible to take a shower without her 21-month-old daughter, Bambi, calling for her.

This week, the former Love Island contestant, aged 25, shared insights into her child’s attachment challenges in a recent video blog. She mentioned that her baby becomes distressed, crying and screaming, whenever mom is not within sight.

Earlier this year, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury (Bambi’s dad), who were once engaged, have parted ways. They are now navigating a shared parenting journey together.

In her latest YouTube video, she mentioned that Bambi is currently going through a clingy phase, needing either mommy, daddy, or nobody specifically right now.

I’m looking forward to our vacation in Dubai together, but I worry that taking her out of her comfort zone might not bring her the same joy as she experiences in familiar settings.

Last weekend, I had the misfortune of taking her to my mother’s place for a stay. To put it mildly, the entire experience turned out to be an unmitigated catastrophe.

For three consecutive days, she wept uncontrollably and became excessively clingy to the extent that it was impossible for me to enter the show unless I did so with her. My mother had to keep her away from the bathroom door so that she could watch me perform through the shower glass.

She continued: ‘But it wasn’t close enough for her, she was like, ‘No, I need to be IN the shower with mum’. So we had to put her in the shower with me. 

‘It was impossible for me to leave her side, as if I did, she would start crying and screaming. Every time I needed to use the restroom, she would sit on my lap. This is an entirely new experience for me, and I’m unsure of how to handle it.’

Soon after her split from Tommy, Molly-Mae also spoke about Bambi’s attachment issues. 

She said: ‘It’s scary. I literally can’t go to the toilet or leave the room or do anything without her crying her eyes out which is not really ideal. I think she’s kind of having attachment issues at the minute.

It seems quite clear to me that she’s picking up on the fact that things have shifted and they feel unusual right now.

It’s quite remarkable how she seems to understand and respond to things, even though she’s still an infant. It gives the impression that they aren’t as simple-minded as one might think; instead, they seem to have a keen ability to grasp things.

On Tuesday, Molly-Mae posted a series of photos from her initial solo vacation since her split with Tommy, which she shared on Instagram.

The influencer took off to Dubai to soak up some winter sun with her daughter Bambi.

Molly-Mae posed elegantly in a selfie taken through a window’s reflection, sporting a petite, dark brown bikini that offered a glimpse of her physique, revealing very few details.

The mother-of-one styled the simple outfit with a pair of large sunglasses and chunky bangles. 

Alongside the bikini selfie, Molly-Mae shared an adorable photo of herself and Bambi.

The couple grinned at the camera during their flight, with a ‘cheeeeeese’ sign added to the snapshot.

In another photo, Molly-Mae and Bambi appear to be peacefully asleep on the flight however Molly-Mae jokingly annotated the snap with ‘don’t be fooled…this lasted 20 mins’. 

As an ardent admirer, I couldn’t help but notice the tantalizing glimpses Molly-Mae shared on her Insta-stories during our getaway. The mouthwatering spreads of food and plates were a delight to my eyes, and I couldn’t help but wonder if they were part of the holiday must-haves. Adding to my curiosity was a picture that seemed to be the luxurious abode where this influencer is residing during her vacation.

Molly and Tommy shook the internet when they announced their break up in August. 

The pair had been together since meeting on the ITV show five years ago. 

Molly-Mae made a surprising declaration on Instagram, opening with “I never imagined I’d find myself needing to write this.

She went on to say: “Even after five years as a couple, I hadn’t foreseen our tale concluding, certainly not like this.

‘I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.

I’ll eternally cherish the most significant aspect of my life – my radiant daughter. She exists because of our bond, and she’ll always hold the top spot in my priorities.

Let me express my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for the affection you’ve bestowed upon us during the past five years. Each one of you has played a significant role in our story, and I believe it’s fitting that we acknowledge your presence in our journey together.

Molly-Mae temporarily withdrew from social media and professional obligations, giving herself space to adjust to her new reality without Tommy.

She mentioned: “As I make my way through the upcoming days and weeks, I ask for your understanding as I need some personal space during this challenging period. I will return when I feel ready. Best, Molly-Mae

Approximately an hour past, Tommy finally spoke up about their separation on Instagram Stories, writing: ‘With great sadness, I announce that Molly and I have made the difficult decision to part ways.’

Over the last five years, we’ve been blessed with our lovely daughter, Bambi, and I am eternally grateful to Molly for making me a father. Above all else, Bambi holds a special place in our hearts.
