Modern Family joins Young Sheldon in channel swap

As a seasoned gamer who has seen countless sitcoms come and go, I must admit that the news of Modern Family joining Young Sheldon on Nick at Nite is a delightful twist! Growing up with these shows, they’ve become more than just entertainment – they’re part of my pop culture history.

In an upcoming change, “Modern Family” will be moving channels alongside “Young Sheldon,” meaning re-runs of both well-liked series will now be broadcast on the same station.

Beginning Monday, September 9th, every single season of the popular comedy series will be added to Paramount’s Nick at Nite’s fresh schedule. The episodes will be broadcast daily between 2 am and 4 am, as reported by Deadline.

For the first time, “Modern Family” is now streaming on a Paramount channel. At this moment, Nick at Nite broadcasts repeats of hit series like “Young Sheldon” and “The Neighborhood.”

Originally aired for the first time in 2013, “Modern Family” will no longer be broadcasted on NBCUniversal’s E! channel. Instead, it has been customary for the show to air repeat episodes consecutively from Monday through Friday, between 4 pm and 11 pm.

To bid a heartfelt goodbye to the series, NBCU E! is planning to broadcast a 14-hour long marathon of “Modern Family” episodes on Wednesday, September 4. This marathon will run continuously throughout the day. The channel will air the final episode of the show at midnight on September 6.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the hilarious comedy series we all love will keep streaming on NBCUniversal’s platform, Peacock, and also on Disney’s Hulu. Plus, it’ll still be airing on TBS! So, there’s no need to worry about missing an episode – it’s accessible across multiple platforms for our viewing pleasure!

Regarding the addition, Rachel Crain, SVP of Programming & Content Strategy at Nickelodeon Networks stated: “Nick at Nite is a great place for popular and highly praised comedy series like Friends, Mike & Molly, Mom, and now we’re excited to welcome Modern Family – an Emmy Award-winning sitcom – to our programming.”

“Viewers of Nick at Nite will undoubtedly resonate with the sincere authenticity, side-splitting honesty, and passionate courage that have turned ‘Modern Family’ into a global pop culture icon.”

This year, Sofia Vergara, who stars in Modern Family, spoke about taking on the character Gloria Delgado-Pritchett again. She mentioned that she’d be happy to resume the role should an opportunity present itself.

In simpler terms, Vegara expressed, “Without hesitation, I’d certainly do it. It goes without saying.” This was stated during an interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast.
