Model Defies Danger: Storm Chaser Captures Cyclone Chaos on Gold Coast!
A model from Australia was advised to return home, as she ventured to a Gold Coast beach to capture videos of Tropical Cyclone Alfred. The hazardous storm intensified strong winds and coastal waves in the region of Queensland’s main city.
On a stormy Thursday afternoon, Gabby Epstein, aged 30, acted as an impromptu sightseer, while multiple individuals lost their footing on the rocks and narrowly avoided being carried away by the strong currents, all in the quest to capture memorable photographs.
Gabby wrote as a caption for the video: ‘I’m not certain if that umbrella is providing much protection, but I certainly appreciate their optimism.’ The people in the video were filming a huge wave at Snapper Rocks.
‘They’re getting taken out for sure,’ she laughed.
In the following Instagram Story post, Gabby ventured toward the water’s edge to take a closer peek at the stormy conditions on her own.
She exclaimed, “It looks like we ought to leave now,” as she captured yet another massive wave crashing onto the ground where she was positioned.

In Gabby’s videos, over a dozen individuals were seen strolling along the seashore, with surfers transporting their boards at the renowned Australian surf spot.
‘I’m shocked,’ Gabby captioned a video of herself after she’d returned to her car.
She flaunted her wet crop top and short denim shorts, both paired with sneakers and a baseball hat.
‘I could not be more wet. That was a terrible idea,’ she said while grinning.
In upcoming entries, the local model from Gold Coast, known for her lingerie work, humorously responded to the severe weather incident by posting a ‘playlist for cyclones’.
‘GO HOME G,’ one follower messaged Gabby in response to her videos.
‘OK DON’T YELL AT ME. I’M SENSITIVE,’ she replied to them.
Hello all, I’d really appreciate it if you could be kind to me for a very important reason. Could you please keep this in mind?” (She shared a snapshot of their text conversation.)

Beaches stretching from the Sunshine Coast to Byron Bay are still off-limits, as officials urge visitors to maintain a distance and prioritize their safety.
As a devoted adherent, I’m sharing this: In my role, Chief Superintendent of Gold Coast, I’ve been alerting everyone that the city has declared a disaster situation. This empowers us, the police force, to reinforce public safety more stringently and levy penalties reaching up to $16,000 for actions considered reckless.
As a devoted admirer of the sea, I find myself compelled to express my concern over the dangerous situation unfolding at Gold Coast beaches. The relentless, record-breaking waves are posing a significant threat, causing the shorelines to be hazardous for surfers and beachgoers alike. Authorities have issued stern warnings, urging us all to heed their advice. Those who choose to disregard these warnings should be prepared to face hefty on-the-spot fines totaling $16,000. Let’s prioritize safety and respect the power of Mother Nature.
‘No photograph or video is worth your life,’ a Gold Coast City Council spokesperson warned.
Even though it can be thrilling to watch the massive waves, please keep a safe distance from coastal zones for your own security reasons.
‘Increasing winds will see conditions deteriorate further and conditions become more dangerous.’
A group of young men, ranging from their twenties to early thirties, were taking a morning swim at Main Beach and Surfers Paradise around 7:59 am.
People continued to flock to the beaches throughout the day to see the swell.
Starting at 11am, the intense weather conditions picked up, prompting the police to start patrolling Surfers Paradise, urging sunbathers to leave the beach.
Gabby headed out to Snapper Rocks at 2pm.
David Crisafulli is strongly criticizing a small group of individuals who, unnecessarily, are causing trouble for emergency responders by going out into the increasingly turbulent waters.
In one situation, the Premier of Queensland stated that valuable resources were unfortunately squandered when a jet-skier needed to be rescued, as they disregarded safety warnings.
He stated, “There are quite a few individuals acting recklessly, and ultimately, they aren’t only jeopardizing their own safety, but they also endanger the rescuers who might be called upon to save them.
Tropical Cyclone Alfred lies approximately 124 miles from Brisbane, with fierce storms and strong winds lashing the city and its vicinity.
