Milton Jones announced that he is now cancer-free and plans to make a comeback on stage very shortly.
61-year-old comedian from Mock The Week announced in April that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and was getting ready for an upcoming operation.
On Friday, Milton took to Instagram to share some positive news about his health – he’s now officially cancer-free!
Milton expressed gratitude to the medical staff who aided in his recovery, along with his family and friends for their unwavering support. Moreover, he shared that he was eager to get back on stage for his upcoming tour dates, which had been rearranged.
In the post, Milton chose to share some truths about the challenging times he faced during his treatment.
He confessed that there were instances during his treatment when he doubted if anybody would ever recognize him again.

Approximately a few months back, I halted my tour as I required treatment for prostate cancer. Fortunately, I have completed the treatment and can now confirm that I am cancer-free.
I owe a great deal of gratitude to every single doctor and nurse who contributed to my recovery – it seems I don’t possess the necessary qualifications to perform their roles.
I want to express my deep gratitude to my family, friends, and everyone who assisted in rearranging things. A special thanks also goes out to those who have shown kindness towards me. I appreciate all of you.
For the folks who’ve held onto their tickets for the rescheduled shows, thank you for your patience and understanding. My apologies go out to those whose shows we couldn’t adjust due to unavoidable circumstances.
He mentioned that he had moments of doubt, thinking no one might find him again, but then realized he was actually pressing against the light switch.
I’m glad to say that I am now located somewhere new, and you can expect to find me at various stops on your tour if you visit my website. I look forward to connecting with you at those locations.
Earlier this year, Milton shared that he had received an unexpected health diagnosis, leading him to postpone several tour dates instead.
Milton stated that his cancer was considered treatable, but he emphasized that he would prioritize his recuperation following surgery. He pledged to make a swift comeback to the stage once he’s recovered.
In his initial statement, he expressed regret and had to inform everyone about the unfortunate cancellation of multiple shows from his current Ha!Milton live tour.

The summer shows scheduled for Leeds, Coventry, Basingstoke, Sterts, Launceston, Durham, Hexham, Ilkley, Wakefield, Lichfield, Tunbridge Wells, Portsmouth, and Lyme Regis have all been impacted.
After receiving the news of my recent, treatable prostate cancer diagnosis, I’ve been faced with a challenging choice. I’m scheduled for surgery shortly and, afterward, I’ll require ample time to fully recuperate from the procedure.
Furthermore, we’re planning to move the summer events in Colchester, Bridlington, Stroud, and London from their current schedule to the fall season instead.
For now, all planned fall performances on the tour are still set. If you have tickets for any rescheduled or canceled shows, the venue box office will reach out to you personally.
I appreciate your understanding and respect for my privacy during this period. Making this decision wasn’t an easy process, but I assure you it was thought through thoroughly.
Service might temporarily be disrupted, but it will return to normal soon. I can’t wait to get going once more – although I don’t envision that will involve a motorcycle this time around. Cheers, Milton!
People flooded the comment section expressing heartfelt wishes after he received a sudden cancer diagnosis, with Sir Chris Hoy among them.

49-year-old Olympic athlete, facing a terminal case of prostate cancer, penned: ‘I’m truly sorry for your situation, all my best wishes ❤️’
In September 2023, the renowned cyclist received a diagnosis following a regular examination for a shoulder injury. The doctors found a tumor initially and subsequent scans confirmed that the main cancer was located in his prostate, which had metastasized to his bones.
Regardless of his ongoing chemotherapy treatments, the seven-time Olympic medalist was informed by doctors that he had just two to four years left to live following the announcement made last October.
Milton’s career skyrocketed after he won the coveted Perrier Award at the Festival in 1996.
Nowadays, he is renowned for his one-liners on BBC Two’s Mock The Week.
