Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is a popular multiplayer MOBA game with lots of different heroes to choose from. If you want to improve your rank quickly, it helps to start with heroes that are easy to learn. This guide highlights the most beginner-friendly heroes in MLBB, explaining what makes them good choices for new players.

List of the Top 5 Easiest Heroes in Mobile Legends

1. Hanabi

Hanabi is a marksman hero who’s known for being easy to pick up, thanks to her straightforward abilities. Her passive skill, Ninjutsu: Petal Barrage, makes her basic attacks and skills bounce to nearby enemies, allowing her to consistently deal damage even without precise positioning.

I’m really loving this hero! While her ultimate takes a bit of practice to land, everything else is super straightforward. Her Ninjutsu: Equinox skill is a game-changer – it gives you a really strong shield and makes you completely immune to crowd control, plus it boosts your movement and attack speed. Seriously, you can basically ignore those annoying CC heroes when that’s up!

Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll is a skill that lets you slow down opponents and increase your bounce attack damage, setting them up for a quick follow-up. While it requires aiming and isn’t always a guaranteed hit, its ultimate ability, Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana, is excellent for stopping the enemy team in their tracks and dealing damage to a wide area. With practice, you can become proficient with it.

2. Balmond

Balmond is a strong fighter hero known for dealing a lot of damage and regaining health by defeating minions, creeps, and opponents – a benefit of his passive ability, Bloodthirst. Despite being an older hero, Balmond remains effective in various game situations thanks to his ability to stay alive and his simple, direct playstyle.

He’s versatile enough to play as a Jungler, thanks to his skills’ quick recharge rates. Plus, his Cyclone Sweep ability lets you constantly damage enemies around you, and it gets stronger over time, even with critical hit chance. If you build a few defensive items and keep using it, you can really take control of the game.

His Soul Lock is excellent for quickly closing the distance, dealing damage, and hindering enemies by slowing them and weakening their physical defense. After using Soul Lock, you can follow up with his Lethal Counter ultimate to finish off weakened opponents and easily secure kills.

3. Vexana

Although mages like Eudora and Cyclops are good choices, I recommend Vexana for new players. She deals a lot of damage and has strong crowd control abilities. She’s also simple to learn – just use her first and second skills often and take advantage of her passive ability, Nether Touch.

Her Deadly Grasp allows you to quickly strike enemies, frightening and pushing them back while also inflicting damage. You can then use her Cursed Blast skill to deal significant magical damage to a targeted area.

This combination is straightforward: immediately follow up an enemy knockback with your second skill for extra damage. You can also include her Ultimate, Eternal Guard, which summons a strong ally to chase, knock enemies into the air, and deal damage. However, this particular strategy isn’t strong enough to be effective in highly competitive ranked play.

4. Tigreal

Tigreal is a powerful tank hero known for absorbing a lot of damage and contributing significantly to his team’s attacks. He excels at controlling enemies with a variety of abilities, including pushes, knock-ups, pulls, and stuns. This combination of strong crowd control and high health makes Tigreal a formidable hero in ranked matches.

Tigreal excels at shifting a battle’s momentum from defensive to offensive positions. However, playing him effectively requires patience. Trying to single-handedly eliminate enemy damage dealers won’t work; you need support from your teammates – Fighters, Mages, Assassins, or Marksmen – to succeed.

5. Layla

Layla is a straightforward marksman hero in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, known for dealing significant damage in the late game as her attack range increases. Recent updates have made her even stronger, but she still benefits from having a strong tank teammate to keep her safe.

Her Malefic Bomb is a basic attack that also boosts your reach and movement speed if it hits. I especially like the new Void Projectile, which deals damage in an area and briefly stuns enemies, giving us more control in battles and allowing for better positioning when combined with Malefic Bomb. Plus, her ultimate ability, Destruction Rush, is very easy to use.
