In response to the calls from fans in Myanmar, MOONTONGames have made an official announcement about the Mobile Legends Super League (MSL) Myanmar Season 1. This marks the beginning of the country’s first professional league for MLBB, set to debut in March 2025. A total of 10 teams will be taking part in this exciting esports event.
For quite some time, the nation lacked a premier league, but eventually, MOONTON stepped in to address this gap. By collaborating with Game Cast Network (GCN), they managed to resolve the situation.
Mobile Legends Super League (MSL) Myanmar Season 1: Schedule and Format
The tournament commences on March 1st, 2025, and lasts until June 8th, 2025. It consists of two phases: a series of fast-paced MOBA matches in the first stage known as the Regular Season, which starts immediately.
In this tournament, there’s just one group stage where every team plays against each other once (round-robin format). Each match consists of three games (BO3). The top six teams will move on to the playoffs. After that, we have the Playoff Elimination Stage, which features a hybrid system. In this phase, the fourth to sixth-ranked teams square off in Round 1, following a single elimination format.
Conversely, the top two seeded teams are granted an exemption from Round 1 and will commence in Round 2. This tournament will employ a double-elimination structure. For the playoffs, all matches except the Grand Finals will be best-of-five series, while the Grand Finals will be a best-of-seven contest.
Participating Teams
The upcoming event features a total of 10 competitors, six of whom have been invited directly. The remaining contenders will qualify through a separate tournament. Despite the imminence of the competition, the identities of the participants are yet to be revealed. We’ll keep this post updated once the names are officially announced.
Prize Pool
The upcoming event boasts a significant prize money for its first season, amounting to approximately $19,100 in total. This cash prize will be distributed among participants according to their final standings at the end of the competition. However, the top prize is an opportunity: the winning team will earn a direct qualification for the Mid Season Cup 2025.
The distribution of prize money is yet to be announced.

In addition to the team prizes, the event will also distribute bonuses for standout individual performances. Recognition awards will be given to players across all roles, with additional individual accolades bestowed upon them as well.

A few months ago, Falcon Esports‘ Coach Rodel “Ar Sy” B.Cruz fervently appealed to the MOONTON authorities to revive the MPL Myanmar. During the M6 World Championship, his heartfelt plea resonated with everyone, as Myanmar houses several promising teams in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports scene. Sadly, due to its discontinuation after being held 5 times, the professional league for Myanmar has ceased to exist.
