Mobile Legends Super League (MSL) Myanmar Season 1: Teams, Format, Prize Pool, and More

In response to the requests of fans in Myanmar, MOONTONGames has officially declared the launch of the Mobile Legends Super League (MSL) Myanmar Season 1. This marks the beginning of Myanmar’s first professional league for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Set to start in March 2025, the tournament will involve 10 competing teams.

For quite some time, the nation lacked a premium league, but eventually, MOONTON recognized this gap and took action to fill it. To accomplish this, they joined forces with Game Cast Network (GCN).

Mobile Legends Super League (MSL) Myanmar Season 1: Schedule and Format

The tournament commences on March 1st, 2025, and concludes by June 8th, 2025. During this span, there will be two phases of non-stop Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) action.

Initially, the Regular Season begins on the opening day. This phase follows a single round-robin system, with each match adopting a Best of 3 (BO3) format. The top six teams from this stage will progress to the playoffs.

In the Playoff stage, a hybrid system of elimination will be used. The third to sixth ranked teams will face off in a single elimination tournament during the first round. Meanwhile, the top two seeds get a bye and start directly in Round 2. Instead of single elimination, this round will follow a double-elimination format.

All the matches for the Playoff will be BO5, except for the Grand Finals which will be a BO7.

Participant Teams

10 contestants have been selected for the upcoming event, six of whom are invited directly. The remaining teams will qualify through a preliminary competition. As the tournament approaches, we don’t yet know who these contenders are. However, we’ll update this post with their names once they’ve been announced.

Prize Pool

During its first year, this event promises a substantial prize money as an incentive. A grand total of approximately $19,100,000 (K40,000,000) will be distributed among the participants based on their final standings at the conclusion of the event. However, the most enticing reward is that the victorious team will secure a direct spot in the Mid Season Cup 2025.

The distribution of prize money is yet to be announced.

In addition to the team awards, the event will distribute bonuses for standout individual performances. There will be special recognitions for players in every position, and they’ll also receive personal accolades.

Beyond the prizes given to each team, the event will provide rewards for exceptional performers. Each player, regardless of their role, will receive recognition awards. They’ll also be eligible for individual honors.

On that grand stage, his heartfelt plea resonated with everyone. Being a nurturing ground for emerging teams in the MLBB esports world, Myanmar holds a promising future. Regrettably, the professional league for Myanmar ceased operation after being held 5 times.
