Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.36 Update: Hero Adjustments, Battlefield Changes and more

As a seasoned Mobile Legends: Bang Bang player with countless hours spent in the battlefields, I am thrilled to see the latest updates unfolding! The revamped Hanzo, with his increased mobility and refreshed visual effects, is a welcome change that promises to make him more versatile on the battlefield. It’s about time Hanzo got some love!

In November 2024, there were significant updates made to Granger on the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Original Server with the Patch 1.34 Update. Similarly, with the recent Patch 1.9.36 Update in the Advanced Server of Mobile Legends, modifications have been disclosed regarding Hanzo, as well as enhancements and tweaks for Yi Sun-shin and Sun.

Revamped Hanzo (Buffed)

On the Advanced Server, Hanzo’s character model has been given a fresh update, featuring enhanced visual elements. Developers are focusing on improving Hanzo’s mobility in gameplay, making him more agile and easier to control.

Skill 1 (Hanekage) (↑)

It is no longer limited to targets with full Passive stacks.

Skill 2 (Hanzo) (↑)

Slightly increased the dark mist area.

• Dash Distance: 2.5 >> 3
• New Effect: Hanzo gains extra Movement Speed in the dark mist.

The dark mist forms at a fixed position, no longer changing based on whether a target is hit.

Skill 2 (Hanekage) (↑)

It slightly increased the width of the dark mist.

Dash Distance: 5.5 >> 6.5

Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.36 Update: Hero Adjustments

Yi Sun-shin (Adjusted)

Based on feedback from players testing Yi Sun-shin on the Advanced Server, developers have chosen to reverse the stacking system of Heavenly Vow’s Passive ability. Nevertheless, they have opted to keep the Health Regeneration effect on his first Basic Attack when combined with Weapon Mastery, which should make gameplay smoother in intricate battles.

Furthermore, developers have resurrected his signature turtle ship and viewpoint features in the latest design of Ultimate, seamlessly integrating these elements. This unique addition offers strategic benefits and enhances the character’s portrayal within the Paenlong Legend.

Passive (~)

• Reverted to two enhanced Basic Attacks.
• Movement Speed Boost: 35% >> 20%

Ultimate (~)

Refreshed Advantage: Calling upon the Turtle Ship, Yi Sun-shin enhances his vision over the surroundings, granting him an additional boost in movement speed while doing so.

In the next engagement, Yi Sun-shin orders his Turtle Ship to charge headlong into the designated target, causing a stun effect on the initial enemy and surrounding forces it collides with. Subsequently, under Yi Sun-shin’s command, the naval force unleashes three successive volleys of cannon fire at the assigned location.

Sun (Adjusted)

Increased Sun’s flexibility, and slightly reduced his Attack Speed for balance.

Attack Speed Growth: 3% >> 2%

Skill 1 (↑)

Cooldown: 10s >> 10-8s

Skill 2 (~)

This skill now no longer stops when hitting hero units.

Equipment Adjustments

Rose Gold Meteor (Adjusted)

Developers have discovered that certain Marksman heroes’ survivability seems diminished according to feedback from players, as they find the equipment overhaul less beneficial for them.

By making this modification, developers aim for Marksman characters to retain their previous level of durability when using alternative Lifesteal gear. Meanwhile, Fighter characters who focus on Basic Attacks will receive an extra advantage.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve noticed that certain characters had an unfair advantage due to specific equipment. To balance out the gameplay, developers have set a maximum limit on how much these heroes can benefit from such gear.

Removed: +20% Attack Speed

Unique Passive – Dragon Scale (↓)

Max Hybrid Defense Gained: 40

Unique Passive – Lifeline (↑)

Reverted the Movement Speed boost when the shield is triggered.

Battlefield Adjustments

Bush

Following several weeks of monitoring, developers have chosen to maintain the adjustments to bushes but scale them back slightly. The current bush placements are still somewhat distant from the minion wave compared to the main server, yet not as far as in the earlier Advanced Server adaptation. The developers aim that this revised bush arrangement will offer a more balanced gameplay experience for both offensive and defensive players, while also enhancing the strategic complexity of the gaming environment.
