Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.08 Update: Hero, Battlefield Adjustments and more

Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.08 Update: Hero, Battlefield Adjustments and more

As a seasoned Mobile Legends player with years of gaming under my belt, I must say that the latest update, version 1.9.08, has truly brought a breath of fresh air to the game. Formurther increased the adaptivity of this equipment, making it more responsive and effective in various combat scenarios.

In the year 2024, Layla’s Workshop plans to eliminate Mana for all heroes in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang who deal only Physical Damage. This proposal has been generally well-received by many players, although some are worried that it might make certain heroes overly powerful. These modifications will be made in the upcoming Patch 1.9.08 Update, along with adjustments to several other heroes to balance things out. The developers will keep a close eye on these changes and plan for further tweaks in future updates. Let’s delve deeper into the details of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Patch 1.9.08 Update.

Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.08 Update: Hero Adjustments

Lukas

Lukas is a fresh addition as a hero in the Fighter role, boasting a potent skillset that enables him to execute powerful combos to swiftly defeat enemies in battle. Mastering each of his abilities, particularly focusing on his Beast form, would undoubtedly make one stand out victoriously on the battlefield.

In simpler terms, they’ve fine-tuned the reach of the Flash Combo when in Sacred Beast form. Now it’s capable of sending nearby opponents flying into the air (enemies farther away will still suffer damage from subsequent tail swings). Moreover, we’ve slightly decreased the potency of Flash Combo during late-game stages.

Skill 1 (↓)

  • Base Damage: 300-550 +100% Total Physical Attack >> 300-600 +120% Total Physical Attack
  • Spin Damage: 100-200 +80% Total Physical Attack >> 100-200 +50% Total Physical Attack

Skill 2 (~)

CD Reduction: 2-4.5s >> 2.5-4s

Argus (~)

In this update, we’ve made improvements to Argus’ combat experience, focusing on resolving several challenges.

Skill 2 (↓)

  • Removed: Attacking Cursed targets grants 200% Malice Energy.
  • New effect: Hitting an enemy grants 100 Malice Energy (excess Malice Energy will be kept for the next Basic Attack).

Skill 3 (↑)

  • Transformation Duration: 5s >> 4s
  • Death Immunity Duration: 3s >> 4s
  • Movement Speed Bonus: 80% >> 40%
  • Movement Speed Bonus Duration: 2s >> 1s
  • Cooldown: 46-38s >> 55-45s
  • New Effect: If Death Immunity is not triggered during his transformation, the cooldown will be reduced by 50% when the skill ends.

Cyclops (↑)

Adjustment Outcomes from Experiments: The Superior Sphere of Cyclops travels relatively slowly. However, its intended purpose is to immobilize targets for a longer duration as it moves further away. Unfortunately, if the distance becomes too extensive, Cyclops often finds it challenging to utilize additional abilities promptly.

Ultimate (↑)

  • Sphere Initial Speed: 1 >> 7; no longer accelerates with flying time
  • Cooldown: 43s at all levels >>> 26-18s
  • Damage: 550-880 +220% Total Magic Power >> 500 +120% Total Magic Power
  • Mana Cost: 160-200 >> 60-100
  • Immobilizing Time: 1-2s (increase with travel distance) >> 0.75-1.5s

Joy (~)

“Back with Some Game Tweaks: Me, as Joy, am excited about the upcoming changes! The team’s aiming to shorten my damage cooldown to boost my burst potential, making me feel more like a deadly Assassin on the battlefield!”

Skill 2 (~)

Skill Interval: 1s >> 0.8s

Nolan (↑)

Adjustments for Experiments: By eliminating the protective immunity from his Ultimate, Nolan’s resilience has decreased a bit. Our aim is to provide him with an enduring fighting capacity, while simultaneously lessening his agility slightly to ensure balance.

Skill 1 and 2 (↑)

Cooldown: 2-1s >> 2.5-1.5s

Terizla (↓)

Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.08 Update: Hero, Battlefield Adjustments and more

In the upcoming update, Terizla’s impact will be more noticeable during the initial and middle stages of the game. The elimination of Mana constraints means he can use his abilities more frequently. Consequently, we’ve scaled back his early-game strength a bit but boosted his potential in the late game slightly.

Skill 2 (↓)

  • Cooldown: 7-4.5s >> 9-4s
  • Base Damage of First 2 Attacks: 135-310 >> 90-315

Roger (↓)

In the forthcoming update, Roger is expected to excel in survival, attack power, and agility; the elimination of Mana will provide greater flexibility in casting abilities. This revision aims to maintain balance by reducing his resilience during the initial and mid-stages of the game.

Ultimate (↓)

Increased Physical and Magic Defense: 40-70 >> 20-65

Popol and Kupa (↓)

In the next update, Popol and Kupa’s power during the initial and mid phases of the game is excessively strong, and with the upcoming elimination of Mana, they will be able to use their skills more aggressively. Our goal in this modification is to lessen their potential for a snowball effect by decreasing their damage output and cooldown periods in the early and mid-game.

Skill 1 (↓)

Base Damage of Kupa’s Bite: 100-190 >> 70-160

Ultimate (↓)

Cooldown: 38-32s >> 48-32s

Suyou (~)

Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.08 Update: Hero, Battlefield Adjustments and more

Developers aim to amplify the instantaneous harm of Suyou’s combination attack, while simultaneously diminishing his extended reach for attacking at distance.

Skill 3 (~)

  • Damage by Tap-casting: 350-490 +100% Extra Physical Attack >> 525-725 +150% Extra Physical Attack
  • The damage by hold-casting is now the same as tap-casting and no longer increases with the hold duration.

Devs have adjusted the attributes of this equipment to match the Mana adjustments.

  • Attributes (↓): Removed 5 Mana Regen.
  • Price (↑): 2330 >> 2180

Clock of Destiny (↑)

As a dedicated fan, I must admit that this gear seems to be designed for a relatively limited scope of uses at the moment. Here’s hoping that iconic tanks and fighters like Esmeralda and Silvanna might find a place for it in their arsenal as well!

Attributes (↑): Added 10% CD Reduction. Mana: 800 >>> 400

Wishing Lantern (↑)

To enhance the casting frequency of spells for our Mages, we’ve assigned the same Mana attribute to this CD Reduction device as the Lightning Truncheon.

Attributes (↑)
  • Magic Power: 70 >> 75 Added 400 Mana.
  • Price (↓): 1950 >> 2030

Thunder Belt (↓)

In the early and mid-stages of gameplay, the damage to this gear is quite substantial. Ideally, we’d like to see a longer duration for dealing significant damage.

Unique Passive – Thunderbolt (↓)

As a dedicated fan, I’d like to rephrase that in a more engaging way:

Twilight Armor (↑)

Further increased the adaptivity of this equipment.

Unique Passive – Twilight (↑)

Battlefield Effect Balance Adjustments

Fortified

Each turret’s Energy Shield now consistently provides an additional 120 Gold. This change ensures that the total extra Gold provided by all Energy Shields on the battlefield aligns with the usual standard.

Due to the significant rise in typical match length caused by this battlefield influence, we adjusted the amount of damage that Energy Shields can withstand to ensure a more evenly paced gameplay.

Super Entourage

Developers have given unique abilities to three select minions, and also tweaked their fundamental characteristics to maintain a fair level of power across all minion groups.

Currently, Lava Golems boost the defensive abilities of neighboring friendly units by 10 Hybrid Defense points, Fire Beetles enhance their attack speed by approximately 10% for nearby allies, and Horned Lizards increase the adaptive attack power of adjacent friendly units by 15 points.

Eternal Strength

To prevent a single power, Turtle’s Strength, from granting an unfair advantage to the owning team, we adjusted the boosts it provides so that additional stacks would offer less and less benefit.

  • Shield of 1 Stack: 200 +20* Hero Level >> 10″ Hero Level
  • Shield of 2 Stacks: 400 +40* Hero Level >> 200 +10* Hero Level
  • Shield of 3 Stacks: 600 +60* Hero Level >> 300 +10* Hero Level

Each time the shield is activated, it adds an adaptable attack bonus to both Physical Attack and Magic Attack, the value being 10 plus your Hero’s level. (The bonus does not increase as more stacks are acquired.)

Everlasting Turtle

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the Turtle’s continuous refresh after 8 minutes significantly boosts both Gold and EXP. To ensure a more balanced and engaging mid and late game experience, I suggest we scale back the EXP and Gold rewards from the Lord when this Turtle effect is activated, amplifying the Turtle’s importance in these crucial stages of the game.

Healing Turret

  • Increased the effectiveness of Healing Turret in the early game, while reducing the difference in its healing on heroes with different base HP.
  • HP restored for nearby allied heroes every second: 1% of Max HP >> 20 + 0.5% of Max HP.

Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.08 Update: Events

Battlefield Draft

The feature will continue until the 20th of August, 2024. In the upcoming Battlefield Draft, some battlefield effects that were initially presented will temporarily come back. This time, players have the power to choose which effects they want to implement on the battlefield.

At this event, there will be four distinct segments. The first three parts are structured as follows: a Voting Period, an Announcement Period, and a Play Period. During each Voting Period, individuals have the opportunity to earn Gameplay Votes by accomplishing daily assignments. These votes can then be cast to support their preferred battlefield effect among the three options presented.

In simpler terms, the battlefield with the most votes moves on to the Declaration Phase, where it becomes active in Ranked matches for players of Epic level and higher during the Gameplay Phase. The Fourth Phase skips the Voting Phase and directly applies the chosen battlefield effects.
