The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) is gearing up for its 13th season, set to commence on August 16, 2024. This esports tournament, sponsored by MOONTON, will conclude in October, though the exact date remains unspecified. Featuring 8 teams and a hefty prize pool of $150,000, this event promises to highlight the most skilled teams from the Philippines as they engage in thrilling Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) battles. The tournament will be held offline.
Mobile Legends MPL PH Season 14: Schedule and Format
The event consists of two phases. Initially, known as the “Regular Season,” it commences on August 16th, marking the beginning of the competition. This phase involves a series of double round-robin matches followed by a best-of-three format. A team will earn one point for each victory, but no points are given for losing a game. The stage concludes on October 6th, and the top six teams will progress to the subsequent phase, which is called the “Playoffs.”
The specific date for the Playoffs stage hasn’t been revealed just yet. Nevertheless, it will employ a mixed elimination system where teams seeded from third to sixth participate in Round 1. In contrast, the top two seeded teams are granted a round pass and will commence in Round 2. Each match will be played in a best-of-five series format, while the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final will feature a best-of-seven series.
